Located just outside of Steamboat Springs, tucked away in a remote high mountian forest setting, Strawberry Park Hot Springs is truly one of Colorados most spectacular hot springs. The park is developed but not overdeveloped. Beautiful unique stone masonry lines each pool as well as the modern and state of the art restroom and changing facilities. Glenwood Springs Hot Springs, is the World's Largest Hot Springs Pool and also offers a 107 room lodge, water slides, mini golf, a premier athletic club, and the spectacular new Spa of the Rockies. The pool is always kept at a comfortable 90°-93° F and the therapy pool averages about 104° F. Unlimited pool access is complimentary with your lodging (water slides and mini golf are not included).

The small town of Ouray and near by town of Ridgeway boast numerous geothermal hot spots where a weary traveler can take in a relaxing soak. The Ouray Hot Springs pool, featured here, is located just as you enter into the town of Ouray and contains over a million gallons of crystal clear natural hot springs water, free from the strong smell of sulfur typical of many hot springs. In addition to several soaking sections at a variety of temperatures ranging from 96 to 106 degrees, the pool has a lap swimming section, a diving area, a large slide, shallow section for younger children and a game area for water volleyball. Another hot psrings worth a visit is Mount Princeton Hot Springs, located in Nathrop, Colorado. Pagosa Springs is a town famous for and named after its hundreds of marvelous hot springs. For centuries, visitors to the Great Pagosa Hot Springs have touted the miraculous curative powers of these ancient waters. First used by Native Americans, the area was later developed by the army in the late 1800's. A couple of resort hotels and spas provide visitors with a variety of places to soak. Conundrum Hot Springs: Located at an elevation of 9,000 feet in the Maroon Bells wilderness area near Aspen, CO. Conundrum hot springs provides those willing to hike the 9 miles in (18 miles round trip) a spectacular experience. Numerouns pools that range in temperature from 100 - 105 degrees can be found in this secluded area which is truly one of Colorado's most exquisite settings. Summer and early fall are the best times to visit Conundrum as during winter avalanche conditions make the 9 miles impassible or dangerous.

Rainbow Hot Springs: Getting to rain bow hot springs also involves a long hike -between 8 and 10 miles. There is a smaller pool which holds about 3 people and has a nice river view, a lower pool which seats about 8 and a tiny pool to the side that has room for a solo bather. Pool temperatures are around 104 degrees. Although the hike in is quite difficult and may deter some, the area is often crowded as backpackers come to enjoy the pools as well as numerous horse trips.
