Soak It Up
I saved up for awhile and decided it was time to get a hot tub of my own. I just could not get myself to buy the same old hot tub that everybody else has. The square ones that are all fiberglass on the inside were just not quite what I was looking for. I went over to an old friend's house one day and he had purchased a hot tub like I had never seen before. It was made out of beautiful cedar and was very old fashioned looking. I asked him where he got it. He replied "It is a hot tub kit that I bought on the internet." When I got home I got on the internet immediately and started researching hot tub kits.Shop: Discover a Huge Selection of Hot Tubs at BetterHotTubs.com
Portable and Mobile
I found a lot of different styles of hot tubs on the internet. An interesting model that I came across was the inflatable hot tubs. They can fit anywhere from two to six people depending on the size. These hot tubs are a great investment for someone who does not want to have to do any installation at all. They are great for someone who is renting a house, or just does not have enough space to have a permanent hot tub anywhere.Portable hot tubs are great to take camping with your RV and have mobile serenity wherever your heart desires. Another mobile hot tub is called a Spa 'N-a-Box and fits four to six people. These are good for renters that want a hot tub but want that authentic looking hot tub design. There is no installation required and it has simulated wood siding that gives it that real hot tub look. Just clip all the walls together, attach heating equipment, put the bladder in, and fill with water.
Both these mobile type hot tubs come ready to set up, with all the equipment required to soak in your steamy hot tub that night.

Cedar - Give Me a Woody
Another style of hot tub that I found was made out of cedar; the perfect wood to use for its ability to maintain heat and be extremely durable. Cedar hot tubs have a lifespan of over fifty years. These hot tubs are all shaped in a circle with stainless steel straps around the outside to hold them together. They come in multiple sizes, four foot eight inches, five foot five inches, six foot two inches, and seven feet wide. There are also two different heights to choose from; forty-seven inches, and forty-two inches depending on your personal preference. Included, are four industrial cedar adjustable jets, a bottom suction intake and top skimmer for superior filtration and two air controllers for dual action jet massage control. These cedar hot tubs can be heated several ways. You can heat it with wood, propane, natural gas, or electricity. Whatever is most convenient for you. There are also two different electric heating devices. The cedar hot tub comes with a Balboa 5.5Kilowatt digital heater. Or you can upgrade to a 11 Kilowatt Balboa heater system, especially made for colder climates. It will heat up the hot tub twice as fast as the 5.5Kw heater.
There are also deluxe kits for the cedar hot tub. You can get a wood kit for housing the hot tub heating supply and filtering equipment. Another option for these kits are custom stairs or radial stairs that wrap around the hot tub. There is also a kit for shelving that attaches to the outside of the hot tub.
You also have a choice of twelve different colored marine vinyl covers that are made from four inch, heavy-duty, tapered foam which offers an R-14 level of insulation. They come with tie downs including keyed lock fasteners. All covers also have an aluminum C channeling and are made from 1.5 pound high density insulating foam which will support up to four hundred pounds of "party animal" weight.
Tweeking for Teak Soakers
Another choice besides a hot tub is the Ofuro teak and cedar soakers that fit one to two people. The extra depth, length and width allows any size body to soak in a completely natural relaxed position. They are the traditional Asian bath tub. The Ofuro tubs are part of the Japanese ritual of bathing, not used for washing but for relaxing and warming oneself. Baths of this type are found all over Japan and Asia in houses, apartments and traditional Japanese inns. These type of Ofuro soakers were supposedly the precursor of the modern western style hot tub. These soakers are great for using indoors or outdoors. The Ofuro teak soaker has an epoxy coated interior so you can not damage the wood surface.Teak wood has always been known for being top quality wood and has been the number one choice of wood for boat builders. Teak can have a lifespan of over one hundred years. The teak soaker has a Balboa Heat FX 1.5 Kilowatt inline heater that is preset to 104 degrees, and a ¾ horsepower pump that evenly circulates the water for mixing the temperature evenly. The Ofuro western red cedar soaker is a timeless classic. These soakers are made from grade A Western Red Cedar, which has always been ideal for outdoor construction.
The red cedar soaker has four different ways to heat it. There is the Chofu wood fired heater. Because of the smaller volume of water these tubs can be heated in about 1 hour ready to enjoy, with only the cost of wood. This option will heat your tub the in the fastest amount of time for very little money. You can choose the Chofu gas/propane heater with timer. This soaker can also use the same 1.5 Kilowatt balboa inline heater preset to 104 degrees, and a ¾ horsepower pump to evenly circulate the water.
Another simple way to heat the soaker is regular hot water from your sink. Because of the wood insulating properties, the tub will retain the heat much longer than any other style of bathtub. Both of the soakers come to you with no assembly required, and have and array of custom steps and other accessories you can add on.
