Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Track Set
So, what does a six year old boy want for Christmas? This is the question I've been asking myself as I search online for great gift ideas. I've found a Cruncher Prehistoric Pets Interactive Dinosaur, which does look really cool. But one toy he plays with all the time is his Matchbox cars.
So, I thought, why not get him a track to race them on? And since he loves to crash them anyhow, how about the Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Track set? Thus, this lens was born...

Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Features
- Hairpin turns for exciting race action.
- 16 feet of track - plenty of room for the cars to build up speed.
- Motorized boosters to make the car go even faster!
- Giant crash area - your son will love seeing the near misses and total wipeouts!
This crash set looks like something my son would definitely enjoy. Still, I wanted to read some reviews on it as well...
Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Reviews
Now for the all important question: what do people who own the track have to say about it? Some people seemed to really like it. Others, not so much. One positive review said that it was their child's favorite toy. Another reviewer hated it because the cars went too fast. One tip I gathered from the reviews is that this track works best with smaller, lighter cars. The larger heavier cars are harder to get on quickly, which is what you need to do in order to see some good crashes. It can also help to have more than one person launching cars at the same time, as it's hard to launch multiple cars at once without practice.
But people who liked this toy really enjoyed it. I think we would like it because he already has a lot of cars, so I'm sure some of them will work. It also could be a fun cooperative toy with his sister.
It takes four D batteries, but the batteries do last for a while. The batteries power the boosters, so you could play with it without them. The cars just would not go so fast.
Amelia said this:
"This is my son's favorite toy. His friends love to play with it as well. The cars fly around the track, and the crashing is very exciting for him. For as much fun as he and his friends have with this, it was a great value.
