Why You Need To Lose Abdominal Fat And Develop Those Hot Abs!
But what many people don't realize is that excess abdominal fat is a dangerous health risk. Research has determined that while excess body fat is generally unhealty, excess abdominal fat is particularly dangerous.
Your abs are covered by two distinct types of fat. Subcutaneous fat forms a layer directly under the skin, on top of the abdominal muscles.
Visceral fat lies deeper in the abdomen, beneath the muscle, surrounding the organs. It plays a major role in giving men that "beer belly" appearance.
Scientific testing has shown that excess visceral fat is particularly dangerous to your health. Both types of fat increase your risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
If you care about your quality of life, one of your top priorities needs to be the reduction of your abdominal fat. A side effect of getting rid of that ugly fat will be a flatter stomach. If you lose enough stomach fat, you'll be able to see those hot abs that everyone's looking for.
How do you get rid of excess abdominal fat? Firstly, there is no such thing as a quick fix solution. No pills or supplements will help you lose your abdominal fat faster. Those gimmicky ab belt, ab rollers and ab rockers won't help either. You can't reduce your abdominal fat by using any of those worthless contraptions.
The only way to lose your stomach fat and keep it off is by combining a nutritious diet full of unprocessed natural foods with a properly designed exercise program that stimulates the necessary metabolic and hormonal response in your body.
Diet and exercise are both vital components of any abdominal fat loss program. A scientific study has shown that following a diet-only program has less effect than exercise combined with diet.
It's important to realize that you can't just do any old exercise program. You need to follow a program that specifically stimulates the loss of abdominal fat.

What Are You Looking For In An Abs Program?
Insulin Resistance and Hot Abs
When you eat, the sugars of foods that are in the blood are supposed to be burnt as fuel. In a body that is healthy in terms of insulin, the body burns through these sugars as fuel to do the things that you want them to do. But when the body does not use these sugars for fuel they must go someplace. They end up becoming stored fat throughout the body.
When you have insulin resistance, your body has an increased amount of sugar in the blood. The body's tissues, including muscles, become less sensitive to normal amounts of insulin in your body. To rectify this situation, the body tries to fix the situation by secreting more insulin from the pancreas. When it does this, there are additional problems that arise.
For example, Type 2 diabetes could develop. This is the fastest-growing diagnosis in overweight people. Because the body is demanding additional insulin, the pancreas simply can not keep up. The end result is that diabetes occurs because the body simply can not fix the situation.
Researchers believe that approximately one out of every four Americans is resistant to insulin. 25 percent of people in the US and other Western civilizations suffer from this problem.
The fact is that not only is the fatty tissue to blame, but the diet that goes along with it. If you eat foods that are heavily sugared or those that are high in carbohydrates, then you are likely to be one of the many that is insulin resistant or on the verge of becoming so. Cakes, soda pop, processed foods, pizza, chips and other foods like these make the situation even worse.
In addition, those that do not get enough exercise also face insulin resistance. Those that drink too much, are overly stressed, or have a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure or excess body fat around the midsection are likely to suffer from insulin resistance.
Virtually anyone can reverse their situation by working not only on getting rid of their excess body fat, but also on improving their overall diet and lifestyle.

More About Hot Abs
The human abdomen (from the Latin word meaning "belly") is the part of the body between the pelvis and the thorax. Anatomically, the abdomen stretches from the thorax at the thoracic diaphragm to the pelvis at the pelvic brim. The pelvic brim stretches from the lumbosacral angle (the intervertebral disk between L5 and S1) to the pubic symphysis and is the edge of the pelvic inlet. The space above this inlet and under the thoracic diaphragm is termed the abdominal cavity. The boundary of the abdominal cavity is the abdominal wall in the front and the peritoneal surface at the rear.
Functionally, the human abdomen is where most of the alimentary tract is placed and so most of the absorption and digestion of food occurs here. The alimentary tract in the abdomen consists of the lower esophagus, the stomach, the duodenum, the jejunum, ileum, the cecum and the appendix, the ascending, transverse and descending colons, the sigmoid colon and the rectum. Other vital organs inside the abdomen include the liver, the kidneys, the pancreas and the spleen.
The abdominal wall is split into the posterior (back), lateral (sides) and anterior (front) walls.
