My Designs happened to win awards
I joined Zazzle.com in 2007 . I just wanted to try my luck there . I had been trying to sell my designs by cafepress.com and art.com before and I wished to see how my design looked on different Zazzle products .
This is a POD site - which means that they print on t-shirts , mugs , posters etc whatever you want . You will see how the product looks like with the design of your selection though it does not exist yet only virtually at that moment. They will create the product only after your order . It is eco -friendly solution . Thanks to the digital programs there is no need to create products that can not be sold .
When I joined Zazzle I already had a lots of designs ready as digital art is my number one hobby . I found that Zazzle was very encouraging place . Soon after I started my online designer's shop there - I got a lots of positive feedback from fellow shopkeepers ,designers .
And soon I got some awards !
There are two types of awards I got so far .
TBA = Today Best Award - it is given daily . The newly created products can win . There is a jury who decides on it. No need to apply for it . If you create a product then automatically it will be considered .
Top Ten Views Award - it is the public who decides . Nothing else matters just how many clicks you got .It can be something very simple like a plain tie or some words on a mug . It can be the world ugliest design - but it still will get this award if it got enough clicks for that .
Today I got more awards than I ever dared to dream !

A clever Zazzle artist shares her secrets
Pamela Gobiel ( aka Fun T-shirts ) was introduced to internet marketing through her at-home business. Until 2002, Pam was a senior executive assistant for one of the largest investment firms in the country. Due to health reasons, she became homebound. Given her inclination as a high-performer and her desire to be part of a professional community, Pam began designing and developing products for one of the most successful online drop-ship vendors(aka Zazzle). Doing this allowed her to run an international business, yet never have to leave her home or computer.Pam has evolved from having a fun online hobby to having a successful business. As a result, her husband made the decision to close his construction company and work with her from home.

I was very much surprised . Why ? I did not know that my art will be considered without application . Telling the truth I would not have applied if that was the way to get it . I have tried at cafepress to apply for different designer competitions but I was not allowed as I was not US citizen .I was not operating out of US . They excluded every designer who was not living there !
Zazzle is wise not to do so ! A design is valuable or not - it has nothing to do with residence of the designer !

Romantic and urban ,retro style love design .Ideal for invitations and love letters . This design is three times awarded . The first award came by the zazzle jury Today's Best July 25, 2008 - US site . It was made by me when I noticed that zazzle postage is selling well ! There was a bug on my computer at that time and I could not upload new images for a week or two .Feeling frustrated I played with my already uploaded images and zazzle fonts .I created a handful of love postages ! Then this one was appreciated most ! later it won Top 10 Postage Views 08 March, 2009- UK site ! Top 10 Postage Views 30 May, 2009 -Australian site . Yes - zazzle opened new sites - and my art was appreciated by the UK and Australian public as well !

It was in August 2008 that zazzle launched shoes as new products . I kept designing shoes all the time ! It gave me some kind of unexplainable ,great joy ! I was awarded by today best soon after that ...
Zazzle suddenly stopped this item .But they promised that new improved models are coming soon .Hopefully my design can be seen again .

Unexpected succes at Zazzle new sites
It was at the end of 2008 that Zazzle opened zazzle.co.uk a site for UK customers .My necktie designs seemed to be very popular as many of them got top ten views award . There were around 400 thousand neckties at that time at Zazzle .My ties were among the top ten . I was very much surprised . I kept asking myself how it happened . Google ranks high some of those designs . We always hear that adding tags ,keywords is very important . I was more confused . These designs were poorly tagged . So - it might be something about the referring sites or the title ...
Some month later zazzle .ca a Canadian Zazzle site and an Australian site was opened where my items kept ranking high .
It was nice feeling , however I felt at times that not the best ones were picked by the public ...
