What is House, M.D. about?
In season 4, House hires a new team because his previous team either quit or was fired. Foreman is the only person who is both in the new team and the old team. Kutner, 13 (Hadley), and Taub became the other members of House's new team. However, during season 5, Kutner commits suicide, cutting the team down to three people again.

Who is Dr. Gregory House?
Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) is one of the best diagnosticians in the country but also one of the biggest jerks in the country. He is rude and arrogant, but he is very rarely mean. He is a drug addict because of the pain in his leg, a result of tissue damage from years before. His girlfriend at that time, Stacy, told the doctors to take out the dead tissue while House was in a coma, which they did. However, because the doctors waited so long to do the surgery, House still has chronic pain in his legs. He takes Vicodin to relieve that pain. Now, he is severly addicted to Vicadin. Who is Dr. Cuddy?
Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) is the dean of medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital. She puts up with House everyday, through his teasing and rude comments. House often comments on the fact that Cuddy looks pregnant, something that Cuddy really wants. Although House is always rude to her, she lets him get away with almost anything because he is one of the best diagnosticians in the country. Without him, half of their patients who are alive now would be dead, a fact House frequently reminds her about. Who is Dr. Wilson?
Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) is the head of oncology at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital. As House's best friend, he acts as House's conscience and tries to trick House into doing things, such as rehab (Wilson normally loses, mainly because Cuddy caves in the end).At the end of season 4, Wilson's girlfriend, Amber (Anne Dudek), died because of a bus accident. She was only on that bus because of House, something Wilson knows well. Wilson will probably never forgive House for being the cause of the death of someone he loved.
Who is Dr. Foreman?
Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps) is the only character who was in House's first team and is in House's second team. He quit after he put a small child through excrutiating pain in order to save his brother, who was dying of leukemia. Although Foreman managed to save two kids, he was not proud of the way he did it, which he thought was a result of House's techniques rubbing off on him. Therefore, Foreman quit. After Foreman left, House fired Chase and Cameron quit.Foreman got a new job but quickly got fired after acting too much like House. He took his job back at Princeton-Plainsboro and worked for House again.
Now he is in a relationship with 13. During a drug trial for Huntington's, 13 was on the placibo and the drugs appeared to be working. Foreman put 13 on the real drugs which consequently gave her a brain tumor. This act almost destroyed Foreman's medical career.
Who is Dr. Cameron?
Who is Dr. Chase?
Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) is the third person in House's original team. He was the suck-up of the group and always agreed with House (which was probably a good idea, because the one time he did disagree with House, House punched him) and the only one who got fired. He had an affair with Cameron which ended when he told her he loved him, however, they are back together now. He is now a surgeon at Princeton-Plainsboro. House, M.D. on DVD
Who is Dr. Kutner?
Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn) is one of the members of House's new group. He has taken up the place of "suck-up" for this team, though he is not nearly as much of a suck-up as Chase. He was adopted when he was six, which allows him to have interesting relationships with various patients. He is the quiet, yet persistant one of the group. When he was fired when House was deciding who to hire, he came back as number 9 (as opposed to number 6).In the episode on April 6, 2009, Kutner commits suicide. At this point, nobody knows exactly why he committed the act. House goes into denial after hearing about the suicide, saying that Kutner was murdered and he didn't commit suicide as there was no reason why he would have done it at that time. In reality, Kal Penn had decided to leave the show for a job at the White House, causing the writers to kill him off.
Who is Dr. Taub?
Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson) is another member of House's new group. He used to be a plastic surgeon, but had to leave his job because he cheated on his wife. Although he is no longer a plastic surgeon, his experience has helped the team get through many sticky situations, such as when they had to hide a scar from NASA in Season 4, episode 2. Taub is the most creative doctor in the new group. Who is Dr. "13"?
Although we don't know her real name, Dr. "13" (Olivia Wilde) is the only female in House's new group. House tricked Cuddy into letting House hire her by hiring two guys (Taub and Kutner) and not hiring any women. Cuddy then said that House must have a woman in his group and that he should hire 13, which was House's plan all along.13 is the most interesting new member of the team. She is in denial of a hereditary disease, Huntington's, for which she is positive. She is also a bisexual. These two traits allow for interesting relationships to patients in the show.
Now, she is in a relationship with Foreman. He risked his career to treat her Huntington's with an experimental drug he was testing.
