The basics of training

Housebreaking a dog or dog potty training is the first thing that comes to the mind of a dog owner especially if he is a first time dog owner. Usual behavior will be the reaction of the incident which will be getting frustrated over it. But it does not work that way. Dog potty training requires some patience and technique.

Potty trained dog is a joy for the owner as he can have a good and harmonious relation with his pet. Dogs are habitual animals and get into a daily routine easily. You just need some consistency in what ever you want him to do.

With the right technique you can have the most stubborn of dogs to potty train even with the older dog though training a puppy is a lot easier. The schedule of an old dog may not be well organized so he may find it tough to adjust to the new schedule. Ideally potty training should be done at an early age when they have not formed habits out of their routines.

A good training also depends on some factors other than age like the dog breed. Some breeds can be easily trained while some are more stubborn and have their own mind, so more is patience and consistency is needed to get them trained. You have to encourage what you want out of their behavior and what is strictly not accepted. When you learn to communicate this you can get them do what ever you want out of them.
