House Breaking - Puppy Or Godzilla?

Don't those little puppies to the left look so precious? I know that is what I thought the first week I brought my puppy home. By the time week 2 came around I was ready to fence in my yard and leave him out there for good.

I don't understand how something so cute can cause so much damage. I was shocked. The first time I was getting ready for work and found my nice work shoes chewed up I was fit to be tied. I know I shouldn't of left them out where he could get them but I never had any problems before.

I don't even want to think about how many pairs of dress pants that he now uses for chew toys. One pair I just let him keep because he enjoyed them way more than I did.

That was the start of what I like to call my "House Breaking Puppy Odyssey."

I finally decided to do exactly what you are doing right now. I fired up my laptop and decided to come up with a plan of action to get Einstein (not the most accurate name) whipped into shape.

I visited a lot of sites and forums and came up with what I thought was a fail proof plan. I would have him ready for the Olympic tryouts in no time.

Guess what? I think they over charged me for that "free" advice. Nothing I did or said sunk in. I have no idea what I am going to do when I have children because I don't think it is legal to just put them outside for good!

I tried my master plan out for 2 weeks and I think I got him to sit twice. I was thrilled with that. I broke down and decided to buy a program online to teach me how to train my puppy.

My Last Ditch Effort For House Breaking My Puppy

I researched and found what I thought would be the magic bullet. I bought this program and read it front to back. I was ready to get him into shape and well trained. After another 2 weeks ( 1 more pair of shoes and a total of 12 missing socks) I couldn't even get him to sit.
