Our House is For Sale!

After ten years of living in paradise, we now have to move and need to sell our home.

We were married here and had kids here. It was a great ten years. But, our kids are getting older and have become school age. It's time to move back with our families and to live in an area with other kids.

We regret leaving because it is so beautiful here. The house is made of log and adobe and it sits on 20 acres tucked up against the Manzano Mountains in New Mexico.

The weather can't be beat. At 7,200 ft, the summers are cool and the winters are mild. We get some snow, even a foot or two every few years, but the sun comes out and melts it away within days.

The house, land and location are hard to beat.

Ancient History

This has always been a great place to live.

I've heard it said that there were more people living in the Southwest one thousand years ago than there are today. Whether or not that is true, around the Manzano Mountains, that is definitely true.

There are three major Anasazi ruins in the Salinas Valley - Quari, Gran Quivera and Abo. There are hundreds of minor unexcavated ruins in the area. You can find petroglyphs on easy day hikes up canyons where you won't bump in to living soul.

If you love to hike, there are so many options that after ten years of living here my list of places I want to go has only grown. And, I hike a lot.
