The Stories Behind My Cats

The Stories Behind My Cats

I got my eldest Jazz when I was in college. She's name after the music. She is the offspring of one of parents' cats. I was really lonely not be allowed to have any pets in my college apartment but then Jazz came along and I couldn't help myself. My roommates and I hid her until I moved out. She's been a strictly indoor cat since then. When she was younger she had quite a fetish with crawling in shoes. Now she's a lazy, affectionate lap cat.
Lilty came into our when we first moved in together. She also came from one of my parents cats. She got her name from Crystal Chronicles which we were obsessed with at the time. Lilties were a type of character you could play. She was young and spunky. She'd chase her own tail for an hour. At first Jazz hated her, but now they are inseparable. She's a bit of a curious loner on occasions and every once in a while when we're not looking she'll make it out the door and rush back in with a lizard or bug or leaf. Jeff says she's his cat but I don't think she really has a favorite. She'll bite you if you don't pay enough attention to her. This is of course after she licks you.
Felicia is my baby. She's named after the Dark Stalkers character. My mom found her abandoned in a bank drive thru. Her nails were clipped and she was fixed. I was asked to help find her a home. I wanted her but Jeff didn't want anymore animals. Well he saw her and brought her home for me. She's adorable and spunky and cute. She's squeezable and flexible. You could bend her or mush her into any position and she'll just lay there. She loves her belly rubbed and chases everything. She's just a hyper, little, needy kitten.

The dogs

This is my dog Scotty. He's a mix. We think Great Dane and Pit. He's 3 now. And my puppy Lexie, she's about 4 months now and we still have no clue what she is other than adorable. Your guess is as good as ours. Sign my guestbook and put your best guess.

The Dogs

The Dogs Scotty and Lexie

Scotty was a gift to my mom from my dad. He thought it would be a good idea to get an in tact male puppy to hang out with her in tact female dogs. Of course she did not like that idea. Jeff and my sister saw him and decided we would take him on. He was a cute little rolly pollie. We thought he would turn out like a short pudgy bull dog. We were wrong. He just keeps growing and growing. He's a doofus and a sweetie. He'll jump up but he's sweet. He's chases a laser point worse than any cat has. He has destroyed a couple pieces of furniture and several toys. He went to puppy training classes a few years ago and knows his tricks very well. We joke around on giving him up but we couldn't really. He's grown on us way too much.
We got Lexie back in May she was only 6-8 weeks old at the time. She had been left with 4 other puppies in a box outside of Petsmart by our house. My sister called me and said we had to come see them. My husband actually saw the puppies first and picked up the girl to bring over to me. She was so cute and small we just had to take her home. We have no clue what kind of dog she is. She is obviously a mix. She loves our big dog and thinks he's just the coolest thing ever. We love having her around.

Reptiles

My Herps

Truffles was my first turtle. She's a cute little ornate box turtle. I bought her at the Annual Breeders Expo in Daytona, FL. She has't grown very much since then. She's so curious. It takes a lot to scare her into her shell.
Zang gief I bought a year later at the same expo. He is a Russian tortoise and about full size. I picked him out because he stays pretty small and he was the friendliest of the bunch.
Our African Fat-tailed Geckos, Pebbles and Bam Bam were bought from Petco after I had been admiring them for months and months. I finally got up the money and couldn't help myself. They have the cutest faces and their skin feels like velvet. They are very sweet and tame. They like to just sit on my shoulders and hang out on occassion.
After falling in love with my first set of geckos I decided to steal my mom's Leopard Geckos, Bonnie and Clyde. We've only had them a few weeks now so I don't have any pictures on them yet. They are getting used to the new environment right now.
