Consider making a dolls house - how could you do this with textiles?
Perhaps you just want to make a textiles piece featuring houses - think about the traditional looking cross stitch samplers with houses on them - how could you take this idea and make it more contemporary?

Check out the interesting details on this house. If you're not feeling the house theme, then why not look at some architecture - can you find any interesting features or details that would look great in textiles form?

My Half-finished House Model
The sides of the house and the roof were supposed to fit around a foam block but I gave up on this project and threw out the foam a while ago. Since then I've been considering how I can use these textiles pieces to make a finished items.
My ideas have included:
A stuffed house cushion
Making some kind of book where each page is a different room in the house.
Doll Houses
Halloween House
Doll House in the gift shop of the Pond View Restaurant
Doll Houses
Simple House Textiles Piece
The fence was made out of those little wooden corner things you get with painters' canvases.
Interiors
How about focusing on an object - I covered an arm chair with my textiles a while back.
What about making a rug or a quilt for your own house?
Bird Houses
Perhaps you could make a decorative fabric bird house.
If you prefer paper craft to sewing then how about collaging onto an actual birdhouse?
