Let's Break Into Affiliate Marketing as Cheap as Possible!

How to get started with little or no money out of pocket.

There are many ways to make money from home using your pc and using affiliate programs is one of the best. They can be very profitable and some of the top affiliates are VERY rich! You CAN make money using some of these programs, and it's been proven time and time again. If you are looking for a recession proof source of income, then you NEED this guide. It is a tutorial made for people like you and I...regular people!

I 'm not going to try in lure you with photo copies of bank statements. Thats all just filler and teaser tacticts used by the big guys. I'm not about to waste your time showing you that dribblle. It's all the same on almost all affiliate sites I've seen. And I've seen a lot of them.

I 'll be totally honest with you people, which is more than almost ANYONE else on the internet will do, I started making these websites and promoting my affiliate programs for two reasons: The first and utmost reason is that I want more money! Second, I want to get out of the factory job that I hate so much and the job I've come to loathe. (Also, I like to make websites and love surfing the internet and if I can get rich doing it, then it's worth a try. )

If you haven't noticed, I haven't tried to sell you anything and I've promised you nothing. That's because I have nothing of my own to sell! That's the beauty of affiliate marketing! There are so many "things" out there that you can sell, without actually selling anything if your very own. It's all about traffic! NOT the actual product. Of course that's not to say you should'nt use quality products. Quality products means quality returning traffic

Now remember, we are trying to find the cheapest way to set up an affiliate program. So, in a nutshell, we need to grab some free webspace, fill it with keyword rich, relevant content and affiliate banners and try to work your way to the top of the search engines for particular keywords and phrases. This is a long and tedious process but it is the cheapest. LOW OVERHEAD!

GET SOME SPACE!

When Choosing a Web Host Use A Reputable and Reliable Company!

Now let's get to the basics. One of the first things you are going to want to do is get yourself a website and start making pages. When choosing the host of your website, you are making one of the most important decisions you can make regarding your online business. Would you just point to a name in the phone book and call someone up and offer them a chance to be your business partner? Of course not. But many people use much the same technique when selecting a web host.
You can't afford to do business with a web host that is down a lot, is too slow, or has no security. Do your research up front, and find a hosting company with a proven track record. Like these folks at HOMESTEAD. They host of all my websites and they are VERY reliable. I only pay about $20 a month and I have unliimited space and an unlimited number of web pages. They are never down, the speed is excellent, and they have the best security! I have never had a problem with them and their website creating tools are very user friendly. You'll find making websites a breeze with this company. You don't have to know any HTML...just point and click.
Whatever route you decide to take, get to know the ins and outs of how your host operates, when they are available for technical support, etc. Find a reliable company to host your site, or it will cost you in money and headaches later on.
If you want to be successful online, you need to make your website a quick and easy place for people to order. If your site is slow, or sloppy, or confusing, your potential buyers will go elsewhere. You only have a very short time frame to get someone online, and online buyers are impatient.
If your website is slow to load, your potential customers may not wait and will click elsewhere. If something is not up within around 10 seconds, they won't stick around.

3 mo. Half-off Gold & Platinum

There are a lot of elements that contribute to the speed of your pages loading. The speed of your customers' computer is one of them. Not everyone is using high speed internet; there are still plenty of people out there with slow modems and dial-up connections. You have to remember that these slow modems with cause your page to load slower.
Another thing that will bog down your page is a lot of graphics or really large graphics. Other than simply using fewer graphics, there are a few different ways to handle this. Create a "space" for the graphics on the page - Using HTML, you can specify the dimensions of the graphics that will be loading. By doing this, the browser will "create" the area that the graphic will need before the graphic actually loads. Now if you don't really know how to do that, HOMESTEAD. does it for you. All you do is click "insert html." This will allow the rest of the page to display before the graphic shows up, and it allows your viewer to begin reading the information on your site without waiting for everything to load.
Inform your viewer if your site is unavoidably slow - Sometimes your business or product will necessarily be graphic intensive. When your website is large and perhaps slow-loading, it is wise to put a note at the top of the page that informs your visitors to be patient while the page loads. When you do this, you will get more people who will wait rather than give up.

Get Affiliated!

Don't Jump Into it Blindly! These Companies Come Highly Recommended.

During these times of recession we would like to make a living doing this wouldn't we? If nothing else, I'm sure you would at least like a supplemental source of income during these hard times. Using affiliate marketing can be done almost with little or no money out of pocket, depending on how far you are already into this.
Now, the whole goal is to set up a website that makes you money. Just like these: HOUSEWOLF ENTERPRISESandYOURSEARCHWOLF Go ahead...check them out! If you don't have your own product then just having webspace does little to make you money. Oh sure, you can load it with links to the larger affiliates, but it will go nowhere if you don't have relevant content....and traffic. I will explain how to get these later.
Affiliate marketing can be lucrative but like most businesses, the time, energy, and money you put into it has a great deal to do with how much you get out of it. Folks that don't plan on investing a lot of money up front, but rather want or need to use sweat-equity to build the business have to commit to it long-term. Approached from that standpoint, it can provide good consistent returns over time.
And if you're ambitious, there's virtually no limit to what you can make as an affiliate marketer.
My favorite and most profitable affiliate thus far is
HD PUBLISHING. They have two very good products that are not only very useful but are very much in demand. I've already made and recieved commission checks from them. Granted, they aren't huge, but it's enough to prove to me that it works!
You need to get affiliated with a companies such as HD PUBLISHING,REUNION.COM,and LINKSHARE CORPORATION
They all have very good products and programs. And take it from me, they all get good traffic and good sales. And actually, I'm starting to accumulate a few bucks.
Remember, we're spending as little as we have to and If I had done it the easy way and had someone do it for us, we would've spent at least a few hundred dollars.
Maybe you'll get rich but more likely, you wont. Currently I am making a nice little chunk o f extra money that seems almost recession proof! And although I spent a little too much getting started, you can learn from my mistakes and start with little to no money out of pocket.

Remember, most people fail affiliate programs and internet money making thru lack of diligence. They don't stick with it, plain and simple! They don't become rich over night and their interest starts to wane until they give up and move on to the next internet millions program that seems easy and catches their eye.

DO WHAT THE BIG BOYS DO...

But do it with your own style!

Now, a wise man once said "If you want to be rich, do what the rich are doing!" I take that advice to heart! If you want a successful affiliate program, do what the successfull affiliates are doing. Start by using their website design ideas.
Go check out your potential competator's websites and really look at them. Look at how they are structured from top to bottom. Now, you don't want to copy them so much that your site is a mirror image or just plain bland. Look around at many sites.
Personally, I am a firm believer in individuality so I create my sites with a little different flare. I understand that my color scheme or set up may not be search engine friendly but I DON'T CARE! I want my sites to stand out from the crowd a little bit.
However you do it we are going to need to fill it with some relevant content. This is VERY important for search engine placement so you need to think about it. You can grab free content relevant to your sites and affiliates, but I recomend that you write your own content. I believe that too much content is "re-hashed" and the search engines start recognizing this. You decide for yourself but Google is pretty quick.
Now, there is a ton about affiliate programs that you need to read up on. Hey, I only have so much time. I have my own thing too ya know! But you're getting the jist of it. By now you should have a little website going and you should be feeling kinda proud of it. You've worked hard and written a few paragraphs of decent content and tastfully put some banners and links on your page. You are almost ready to publish it.
One of main ways the big boys advertise and get traffic is thru Google's Adword program. As much as I dread leading you into it, I would be remiss if I didn't cover the subject of Adsense and Adwords. Next I'm going to give you a brief outline about Adwords and Adsense but use caution....you can lose a lot of money on a bunch of useless clicks. There is a method to the Google madness, so do your homework first. On my website HOUSEWOLF ENTERPRISES I offer a free E-BOOK about Google's Adsense program. Go ahead and grab a copy.

Google's Adwords and Adsense

Pay Per Click...Watch your step!

If you have ever searched on Google, you have seen AdWords.
Google AdWords are the small text ads that are displayed on the side of the search results in Google. These ads are contextual of course - in this case the context is the search terms you entered. The ads will be served based on what you're looking for. So, if you do a search on "printing services" you will get ads for printing services along with your search results!
How does this generate money for Google and the advertisers?
Google AdWords works on a model known as pay-per-click. When someone clicks on an AdWords ad, the advertiser of that ad has to pay Google a certain amount. It's easy to track and fully automated.
We say "certain amount" because that amount is different all the time and is subject to market forces - in this case, bidding. Something has to determine the placement of those ads, and what determines it is how much the advertiser offers to pay per click. When you submit this kind of ad to Google, you submit it with a bid - which is compared to other bids for similar keywords. It's an auction style process.

The position of the AdWords ads is based on the bidding amount of keywords of an ad. Obviously, the higher the bid, the higher the position the bid buys you. For instance, if the highest bid for the keywords "Internet marketing" is 80 cents per click, you can get top position by bidding 90 cents. Then every time someone clicks on your ad, Google would charge you 90 cents, and you would retain the top position until someone else bids more for the same search word placement

Google AdSense is an ad-serving program that places ads that "make sense" - specifically, that make sense based on relevant content, and assumptions about who might be interested in that content. AdSense is an application of the broader concept of Contextual Marketing. Contextual Marketing is just what it sounds like. On a website about custom cars, you might have an ad for fancy wheels or car care kits. On a website about off-roading, you might have an ad for durable truck tires or spotlight rigs. A hockey site might advertise hockey sticks and a tennis site, tennis shoes. Contextual Marketing just means aligning the ad serving with the context/nature of the website and its audience, the same way like items are grouped in a store. And the "context" can be cut much finer than website level, it can be page level, article level, and so on, so the ads always match the material they are appearing near, and thus, appeal to the interest of the reader/buyer at any given moment.

So what's in it for you - the website publisher/owner? That's easy. Every time a visitor to your site clicks one of these ads, you make money. The better the ads are targeted, the more clicks you get, the more money you make. AdSense displays easy-to-read, text-based, relevant ads that don't overshadow the content of your website or annoy visitors. Actually, you have seen hundreds of these ads yourself, as you'll realize in a moment.
Today there are probably only a few places in your website that can directly make you money, if any. The magic of Google AdSense is this: It allows you to earn money through every page of your website. On top of that, with algorithms used to align ad content with page content Google automatically selects and displays ads for your website that are likely to generate the highest revenue for you.
