What I Got From This Book

First of all, I learned that any business you start, you should be prepared to put a lot of work into it. Good, strong businesses do not just magically happen. You should be prepared to devote a lot of work to doing your job right and making your customers happy.
Customer service is a very important part of your business. In any business you create, it is important to make the customers happy. Listen to them and find out what they want. Experiment with different things and get their input about it.
Use the Golden Rule in your business. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Treat your business partners ad employees the way you wish to be treated. Also, treat your customers the way you wish to be treated. Be kind and courteous, as well as honest and respectful.
When someone says "thank-you" it is much more impressive to say "my pleasure!" instead of "you're welcome" or "no problem". It comes across that you were actually glad to do what you did, instead of it being a problem. It shows you enjoyed doing what you did for the customer.
Make time for people. Listen to your employees when they have questions or express concerns or have new ideas. Also listen to your customers. They will be able to tell you what they want. Listen when they tell you what they did and did not like about your service, then fix it accordingly.
Customers make better advertisement than anything else. When a customer encourages people to use our business, that proves much more effective than a billboard, commercial, or any other form of advertising. Word of mouth is most effective.
Go the extra mile. Instead of just doing what is required, do something to make the experience a little better for the customer. Do something unexpected that will make them say "Wow! That was great! I can't believe they thought of that!"
Most importantly, have a goal of being honest and glorifying God in your business. Make sure that He is involved in every decision you make. Guard your reputation and be honest in all of your business dealings. Always, put God first before your business.
A business will only be as good, honest, and successful as the person who started it. Ask for God's help with every decision, listen to customers, and care about your product and people. These are some great keys to success.

Readers are encouraged to educate themselves. Chick-Fil-A donates to anti-gay groups that have been designated as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center for their actions spreading LIES about the LGBT community. These groups not only oppose equal marriage civil rights under the law, they oppose ALL forms of legal protections for same-sex couples, all forms of domestic partner benefits, and they oppose school anti-bullying programs and hate crimes laws -- it's NOT just about "gay marriage" oppostion. Readers are encouraged to see all the expose' articles on Facebook fan pages, such as "Boycott Hollywood Chick-Fil-A" and "Boycott Chick-Fil-A", for a DETAILED account of their anti-gay funding activities, as well as their questionable/discriminatory hiring practices, and other creepy actions that make Chick-Fil-A NOT a place any fair-minded American would want to support!
