Are you wondering or searching for information on how to pray.
Why I'm Doing This Lens.
To Inspire and Help Those Who Care To Take The Time To Pray.
I thought that was very sad so I decided to do this lens to help people to learn how to pray as well as inspire and encourage people that if we sincerely follow God and seek to do his will, then our requests will be in line with what he wants, and he will grant what we ask.
Please let me know if this lens has helped you in any way or how I can improve on it.
What people need more than anything else is to know... how do I pray.
Hindrances To Prayer
There can be hindrances to receiving answers to prayer. If you are not seeing results, either you have not persevered long enough or there is a hindrance blocking it. Do not allow doubt to invade your conversation, or into your heart. Believe, and give it time, knowing that God will not let His Word return unto Him void.Remember...
There are immediate answers.
"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."(Isa.65:24)
There is waiting patiently, believing, and thanking God every day for the answer which came the moment you asked, but sometimes we have to wait, like Daniel did. God's time and His way of answering may not be the way or time we expect it, but the answer will come, for "nothing is impossible with God." (Lk.18:27; Ezek12:21-28)
If there is never an answer, maybe God has a reason for not answering this prayer. Many have had the experience of thanking God that He sees ahead, knowing that if we had knowledge of the future, we would not pray that prayer. We should not apply this to a salvation request, for "God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2Pet. 3:9).
Doubt is an outright distrust of the love and care of the Heavenly Father and this is a SIN! "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." (Ps. 55:22). The devil would like to rob you of every blessing: disbelief, fear, worry and confusion are all mixed up with doubt, "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today:..." (Ex. 14:13). "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2Tim. 1:7).
How To Pray For Others.
"Grace, Mercy And Peace From...Jesus Christ." 1 Timothy 1:2
Paul prayed for three things to be given to those he loved. So when you're not sure how to pray for others, what better example than this one, where he asks God to give Timothy:(1) GRACE: Peter says "God, who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong...support you and keep you from falling" (1Pe 5:10 NCV). This word 'grace' implies 'all of God you'll ever need to handle whatever you're facing'. That's worth praying for, isn't it?
(2) MERCY: A large publishing house has a machine that automatically mails reminders to its readers that their subscriptions have expired. One day, it malfunctioned and a rancher in a remote Colorado town received 9,734 notices! So he drove for kilometers to the nearest post office, mailed in his cheque, and wrote 'send me the magazine. I give up!' That's how it is with God; He keeps sending us notices! The Bible says "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness" (Lam 3:22-23 NIV).
(3) PEACE: "All who listen to Me shall live in peace and safety, unafraid" (Pr 1:33 TLB). What a gift to know that God's peace can sustain you through the worst situations. And the kind of peace He gives is different from what the world offers (see Jn 14:27). At best, the world's pleace gives us temporary relief; but "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds" (Ph 4:7 NIV).
So the next time you're praying for someone, ask God to saturate them in His grace, mercy and peace.

Just The Right Amount...
Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11
Many of us struggle to feel that way about the resources entrusted to us. At the end of a meal or the end of a month, do we really believe that God has given us enough? When we pray, "Give us this day our daily bread", how much do we expect God to supply? As much as we want? Or as much as we need?
Health experts say that a key to good nutrition is eating until we feel satisfied, not until we are stuffed full. In every area of life, there is a difference between genuine hunger and having a greedy appetite. So often, we want just a little more.
In Jesus' teaching on prayer, He said: "Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?" (Matthew 6:8,31).
As the Lord supplies our needs, perhaps we should see His provision from a new perspective and determine to express our thanks by saying, "Father, You gave me just the right amount." - David McCasland.
Thanks, O God, for boundless mercy
From Thy gracious throne above:
Thanks for every need provided
From the fullness of Thy love! -Storm

Prayer...From The Old Testament, To The New Testament And After Pentecost.
What's it's all about?
In the New Testament after Christ came, a new intimacy was revealed. He taught His disciples to pray on a new basis, that of relationship. By the new birth we are made children, and can speak to God as our Father. Christ revealed this new relationship in person as He lived His life amongst men. He taught them to lift up their eyes and hearts to God at all hours of the day and night, in any place, or in any circumstances, as children speak to their father. In this new intimacy there is no place for "vain repetitions". or praying "to be seen of men". for He is the Father who sees in secret and reads the heart.
After Pentecost the new relationship becomes a deeper and a fuller experience still. The children of God grow to the full manhood of grown-up sons and daughters. Thus prayer takes place "in the Heavenlies" with Christ Jesus. But it must be prayer in the Spirit, submitting our desires to Him and seeking His guidance as to what we pray for. We pray sometimes under a deep sense of urgency, with a feeling of a real burden on our hearts, and this may well be because the Holy Spirit is impelling us unconsciously within, and speaking through us in our prayers. This is the prayer that moves mountains. This is where we ask and receive.
Prayer in fellowship, or house-groups, or in ones or twos, when all are deeply of "one accord" at the Cross, and are completely united in the love of and for Christ. This is the place of Revival.

Which Is Harder?
"Which is harder - for God to move an entire mountain from its place on land and cast it into the sea, or for God to revive His work?God has no difficulty with either one. We are the ones with the difficulties. We find it almost impossible to truly believe that God will do remarkable things for us. In consequence much of our praying is as nothing."
Richard Owen Roberts in "Revival" Tyndale House Publishers.
