I would say more than five words is toooo long.

Writing childrens books titles is an art, try to use rhyming titles. Children love catchy titles. Use active verbs in your title, try an use the theme of the story in the title.

So here's a cool tip, keep your story to a minimum. Leave most of it to pictures. Don't make your story too wordy. Use short sentences, short paragraphs, use lots and lots of verbs.
