Do you consider yourself healthy?

Are you physically fit? Do you eat what your body needs to stay healthy? Is your body showing signs of slowing down and becoming too old for certain activities? What healthy activity have you done today to feel good about your health?

These are a few questions that you should ask yourself at any age or physical condition in order to get on the right track. For some of us it may be time to start eating better and walking or running that excess weight away and for some of us it may be just walking a little farther from the store parking lot this time. Where ever you are with your health you can start to turn it around today.

The Fast Track to Health

You know how healthy you are by how you feel. When you look in the mirror are you happy with the image that you see and what thoughts go through you head? If you feel great and hit the ground running you are doing well. If you look in the mirror and can't stop smiling you are one lean, mean, fighting machine.

So what if you awake groggy and the mirror just reminds you of how hard it is to be healthy and feel good? I have found something, well a few things, that work like a charm. This is no fade diet although a lot of them work. This is not eat fewer calories and you will lose the weight although that works great too. So what is this?

This is reprogramming the default part of your mind. So what is the default part of your mind? It is the unconscious mind that runs automatically. It keeps you breathing, ducking when something is coming at you and consistently thinking that it is hard to lose weight. Just like you duck when a ball is coming at your head you go into default with your eating habits. If you try really hard to keep your head still to let a foam ball tag you in the head you can do it. But here is the kicker (no pun intended) as soon as you get distracted and someone throws the ball at you head you will instinctively duck from the ball. This is also true with you eating habits. You can spend days, weeks or even months using your will power to eat only this or only that but as soon as you get distracted your default will kick in and bring you back to where you are. I have a way of changing that default and I am here to share it with you.

There are actually two ways to change it... Affirmations combined with Visualizations or.... Hypnosis. I have used the AV method for years and it works great. I have just recently stumbled upon Hypnosis and it seems to be the fast track to reprogramming the unconscious mind. As for all people some things work better than others so I will describe both.

Affirmation/Visualization

This is the act of repeating an affirmation several times a day, orally, mentally or in writing. Using all three ways gets the job done the fastest. So what is an affirmation? An affirmation is a statement made in the present tense as if it is already a part of your life, mixed with positive only words. For example: I Shelly am so happy and grateful now that I am healthy and at my ideal weight of 135 lbs. That affirmations states my happiness and gratitude and phrases it as if I am already at my ideal weight. I then close my eyes and imagine looking in the mirror at my body at 135 lbs.

My routine for my affirmation was to write is 10 times, say it while I write it and then clse my eyes and visualize the outcome, feel the felling that came to me at 135 lbs, see my body in the mirror, feel my comfortable clothes. I would put a lot of energy into the visualization addign to it whatever made me feel great about my 135 lb body.

This method changes your programming and makes your default all about the 135 lb body so it takes over at those moments of temptation making them no big deal to skip that doughnut or volunteer to hike that mountain. This all happens because you are putting a new belief or default into the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind doesn't know that you are just visualizing the new body it believes that is where you are supposed to be so it does what it takes in default mode to make that happen as quickly as possible.

I have found that this method works best and fastest for those who get more detailed in the visualizations and do the method at least 2 to 3 times a day. I always do it first thing in the morning and last thing at night before going to sleep.

Hypnosis

For me hypnosis is the fast track to reprogramming the unconscious mind. Keep in mind that is just my personal observation.

What hypnosis does is talks you into a trance like state. I was afraid of this for many years but after researching it a little I realized it is just a very relaxed state of being that allows your unconscious mind to pick up on suggestions easily.

Being new to this I will tell you what I know about it and then you can go out and find what works for you. I listen to audio, guided hypnosis sessions. First I am put into a relaxed state, focusing on my breathing and relaxing my entire body. Then I listen to statements that my unconscious mind is able t pick up on and turn into my default way of thinking. I am then led out of the relaxed state and am back to full awareness. The interesting thing is that even when I am in the relaxed "trance" I am completely aware of things going on around me. I can hear my dog barking at a squirrel, the neighbors leaving for work etc... and can even open my eyes and be "back" at any time. I have found there is nothing to be afraid of.

This method has been working for me. I am no longer fretting about everything that goes into my mouth, I am taking walks when ever I get the chance and eating only what I need. I am so excited about this and looking forward to using it in all aspects of my life.

    Good lens so I gave you a thumbs up. The only concern is about Hypnosis. Hypnosis can be very dangerous to your mind and let things in that should not be there.

    I agree but it can also be a fast track to reprogramming your mind for the better if done correctly. Just be careful.
