Squidoo and Hubpages have a lot in common. Both Hubpages and Squidoo will publish your work for free. It's really cool getting paid to write and both sites are loved by google! So your article can get indexed pretty quickly.
Some people prefer one over the other. I use both. And my pocket book is lovin it. It is the neatest thing that people at Hubpages and Squidoo get paid to write about anything they want.
But that's not where it all started.

Writing For Money
One of the stratagies that I use is when I write an article over at Hubpages, I write a different article at Squidoo and use it as a backlink. I also do the same thing at Squidoo, using Hubpages for backlinking there.
The reason I am writing this hub is because I really wish that someone told me about this trick years ago. So if you are a writer on Squidoo, you really need to check out Hubpages. What are you waiting for?

Little By Little My Squidoo Earnings have Gone up every year. You know the old saying slow and steady wins the race. I now have over 200 lenses and consistently earn over $200 a month between my Squidoo earnings and my Affiliates I market on my Lenses.
Squidoo also has lots of support and a very friendly forum.

If you look at this picture above you will see that I really got active and raised my productivity with Hubpages in June. The pink bars are hubs produced. The green line on top is traffic!In August I joined the 60 Day Challenge which gave me a boost. With the 60 day Challenge, I wrote a lens a day for the first 30 days and then worked on promotion with other hubbers for 30 days. But bottom line, this picture proves that if you really put in the effort and write hubs you can get results. In June I was earning approx $20 a month with Hubpages. In December I earned over $1000 at Amazon! This was a huge accomplishment for me.

- I've just joined Hub Pages but it seems more complicated than Squidoo. Awesome lens by the way. Thanks for the encouragement. Also, I'm keen to write for both but finding the time the main constraint!

- I'm only on Squidoo right now. I've read about HubPages before, but have never really thought seriously about it. However, now I may have changed my mind. Blessed by a Squid Angel!

- i checked out Hubpages, but it doesn't look like someplace i would fit in. i would love to make a lot of money, but the ability to be creative works best for me now. Maybe when I have more time to write I will try them both.
