Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie Balls
Chocolate Covered Minty Cookie Balls
Looking for a unique recipe for a baby shower, graduation party or family reunion? Try making thin mint cookie balls. These dainty no-bake treats are sure to be a big hit! They can also be called "Thin Mint Bon Bons" or "Chocolate Covered MInt Balls."
Ingredients
- 4 to 5 oz of cream cheese (Approximately half a package
- or slight more than half)
- 1 Box of Girl Scout Cookies
- Almond Bark Chocolate (You can use either white or dark.)
- Cake Sprinkles (Optional)
- Writing Icing (Optional)
Instructions
1. Eat a thin mint cookie to "taste test" the package. (Or just to give you some energy!)
2. Crush the thin mint cookies thoroughly. Place them in a sealed ziplock bag, and crush using a rolling pin or other heavy object.
3. Pour crushed thin mint cookies into a mixing bowl.
4. Add cream cheese and stir well. (It is easiest to use your (well washed) hands to mix it thoroughly.)
6. Shape the mixture into small, bite-size balls.
7. Place the cookie balls on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper or a plate.
8. Let the cookie balls chill for at least one hour in the fridge.
9. Melt the dipping chocolate. (Microwave works great, but you can also use a stove top or crock pot.)
10. Dip each cookie ball into the melted chocolate with a toothpick or spoon.
11. If desired cover with cake sprinkles or writing icing.
12. Let the cookie balls cool completely before serving to allow the chocolate to harden.
13. Enjoy!
