Body Mass Index (BMI) - What Does It Mean?
Have you heard the term body mass index (BMI) but never knew what it meant?
BMI is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight. There are many free BMI calculators on the web. You will input your height, weight and gender and based on the input you give, the BMI calculator will return a number. Here's what the numbers mean:
BMI Categories:
* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
