A popular way to make money with Google, is by using Google's program called AdSense. With Adsense, you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords. The way you make money is, every time a visitor clicks a Google ad on your site, Google pays you. This amount can vary depending on the competitiveness of the advertising keywords, which is driven by Googles Adwords system.

Google Adsense hit the scene in 2003. Since then, AdSense has been an extremely popular way to make money from Google. Although the revenue is not that much per click, it can accumulate into a lot of money if your site has a lot of traffic and content. How does AdSense work?

Behind the scenes, an advertiser goes to the Google AdWords system, signs up, and creates one or more advertisements that they want to pay to have appear either on Google's search result pages or on "content network". The content network is where your website will be, it is a network of websites that have signed up with Adsense and now display ads for Google on their site(s). An example of this is About.com.

As an Adwords advertiser, you can choose to advertise on the entire content network, or a selection of hand picked websites. Your site, when set up, will become a part of the content network. You can define keyword for your site, or Google will crawl it and determine relevant ads itself. When your visitors click a Google ad, the advertiser pays Google, and Google pays you.

What makes this more interesting is that advertisers don't pay to have their adverts show up on either Google or separate content sites, but instead pay when the ads are clicked by visitors, what we call "pay per click" or PPC.

Adsense is pretty simple, in concept, all you need is a website and steady traffic and your site will make money from Google, how much is derivative of how much traffic you have and how competitive your relative keywords are.

The Google Adsense program has had a good history of being very success for many businesses. And of course there is always still opportunities to make money from Google in this way. However, many Internet Marketers are finding Adsense is no longer as profitable to make money with as other options that are out there.

Internet Marketers do still use Adsense, and very much Google to make money, we can rely on that for awhile yet. Google is still one of the biggest tools and sources of traffic for most successful Marketers.

Likely one of the most popular Internet Marketing tools is Google Adwords. Google Adwords is pretty simple. An advertiser selects keywords to bid on (based on what their prospective customers might search for within Google), each time those keywords are searched, the advertisers ad will display under the ads section of the search results (right side), each time that ad is clicked, the advertiser pays Google. This is used to drive traffic to your website fast and for relatively low cost.

This is the service that Google makes the most money from. Done correctly, a marketer can make A LOT of money very quickly this way, done poorly, a marketer can give a lot of money to Google and not make a dime. Generally marketers will determine a Return on Investment (ROI), which means, how much they make for each dollar they spend. Making money from Google with Adwords is done by ensuring that the money spent on the Adwords program is offset by the money from sale generated from that traffic. If this number is greater than what was paid to Google, then you have made money. This can be trafiic driven to ones own ecommerce site or as commissions for an affiliate offer. Marketers that have mastered Google Adwords make a lot of money this way.

Every successful Internet Marketer aspires to have their site(s) show up on the first page of Google search (Organic traffic). Organic traffic is free and it can amount to more than all other methods you use to get traffic combined. Organic traffic is when a person comes to your site via Google (or other) search results. Someone typed a Keyword that Google recognized as relevant to your site, your site ranks well with Google, so your site is listed near to top on the first page of Google.

Getting a highly searched term on the first page of Google Search results can drive a HUGE amount of Traffic to your site. How easy, or hard this is to accomplish depends on the search term, the level of competition for your chosen keyword phrase, how well your site is optimized for that term, how well your competition is optimized for that term and so on. There are a number of key things that must be considered when developing and optimizing a site (or post) for a chosen keyword phrase, this process is called SEO. Search Engine Optimization is a set of processes that increase the ranking of a given site. It involves onsite and offsite work. Onsite is internal linking, keyword density, linking out to authority sites and ensuring keywords are properly located for the search spiders. What is cool about this method of making money from Google is that there are A LOT of keyword prases that are just not well optimized by others. If you search that term and look for how well they (competing search results) utilize the different applications of SEO you will often find that very few sites are well optimized. What this means is that if you learn and apply the principals of SEO to your sites, you could end up on the first page of Google search for highly searched keyword phrases.

Organic traffic is amazing, it is free, it can come in mass volumes and it can make you money from Google 24 hours a day.

Google Adwords, IMHO, is very powerful when done right and is one of the most cost effective paid advertising methods available.

Every website owner wants more traffic. This can be paid for or, with strategic SEO, can be free. Getting listed on the first page of Google Search for search terms related to your website is HUGE. But making that happen is not a simple process. One of the best tools online to help with this is Traffic Travis. The beauty of Traffic Travis is that the free version does pretty much everything you need. I have the paid version and it does do a bit more, but it is not required. There is not a Keyword, SEO tool available online that does a better job, and most of the other programs cost A LOT. Don't buy expensive Keyword SEO tools! You don't need them. Traffic Travis Free version does a better job than most of the paid versions. Even the paid version of Traffic Travis is more than half the cost of the leading competitors. I can't stress this enough, if you use a tool or program for Keyword and SEO research, make sure it is a good one and is well reviewed. There are only a couple that I would recommend, and there are a lot out there. Traffic Travis is one of the best and is free. While there is a paid upgrade, it is not necessary.
