How to Arrange A Seminar

A seminar is a meeting where a group of people discuss a problem or topic. It is a lecture or a presentation delivered to an audience on a particular topic or set of topics that are educative in nature. It is usually held for groups of 10- 50 individuals. A seminar is frequently held at a hotel meeting space. Effective seminar requires planning and co- ordination.

Seminars are an excellent way to share your expertise and market the company's products and services. They are also used for training groups of people on new work processes or tools. Arranging an effective seminar requires a significant amount of preparation.

Arranging a Seminar

1) Select an useful topic
One needs to select a topic that can provide prospective customers with relevant information and insights.

2) Choose a Date, Time and Location
One needs to zero down on the date, time and location where one wants the seminar to be held. Before confirming your seminar's date and location, check the calendars to find out if there are similar events already announced.

3) Prepare an agenda
Seminar should be based on goals and objectives. Indicate the agenda along with specific topics and the main points to be discussed. The agenda should include the amount of time allotted for each presentation along with additional time required for group activities and breaks.

4) Promote the seminar in advance
Promotion of seminar should begin at least a month in advance. Choose emails or fliers as the best way to make your audience aware of the seminar. Ask participants to reserve their space in advance and provide their contact information. Call or email the participants, a week before the event to remind them of the same. Follow up should also be done after the seminar to get feedback on the seminar content and structure.

Seminars work as an important tool to showcase the products and services of the company or organization to the customers or clients. It helps in promoting the product and also delivering the knowledge that the organizer shares with his team. It helps in mapping the interest of the audience and in return generates revenue for the organization.
