Backing Up Files On Your Computer and Why It Is So Important.

This can be daunting task, and I could tell you the many ways of doing this. However this lens is going to focus or zero in on the simplest, almost mindless, set it once and forget about it method of backing up your data.

However, if you have lost your data, don't fret just yet, check Drive Savers By clicking the banner below, and don't forget to jot down the Discount Code before you call them for a discount on your recovery.

So, What is the Easiest Way of Saving Files on a Computer?

....and securest?

Well, glad you asked. While there are many conventional ways of saving your precious data (mp3, pictures, documents, etc.) to external hard drives, DVD, CD, flash drives, tape, and more. What exactly is the best method?

Well, while it isn't completely main stream as of yet, the safest and securest way to backup data is to not have it backed up locally (in your home or office) at all, but remotely far away on redundant (duplicated) servers by another computer.

In the past this was expensive, however now it is made very affordable, heck, even free with the beginner package.

....Think....

What if you lost all your data, right now........no backups.....no recovery.....How would you feel?

Introducing Mozy

So, you may be a little skeptical by now, I mean how can you trust your data being backed up off-site from your computer to somewhere else?

Know this, Mozy is a very reputable company, and when you data is transmitted from your computer to theirs, it is encrypted at the highest level. They don't even know what you are uploading, other than you know it is important. The software is automated, so once you set it up (very easy by the way,) your computer will send all the files any new/modified over your internet connection. You will need to have a broadband connection however to do this.

Here are Mozy's tiers:

Mozy Online Backup - 2GB Free

Mozy Unlimited Backup - $4.95/Month!

MozyPro

If you are skeptical, then try their free 2gb file storage to see if you like it, then maybe upgrade later to the unlimited version for the rest of your data. Don't forget to drop a line in the comment section below if you have had success with Mozy.

Remember....

"No computer ever has to promise it is going to work from one minute to the next, they will fail!"
