To Be Married Online from Botswana to the Perfect Husband

I was teaching art and crafts in a secondary school in Gaborone, Botswana. The degree of respect that my workmates were according me, grew tremendously, following the day when I showed off in the staffroom the diamond ring which I got for my engagement to be married soon. My successful online dating was proof that it is possible to be married in this new and strange manner. My colleagues were mostly women. Soon other young ladies were asking me to tell them how to do online dating and find for them the ideal husband. They all wanted to be married. They all had good reasons to get married -- most of them had no occasions to socialize for love -- work in the school was demanding a lot of dedication.
One of my colleagues was especially sweet and pretty, Fofetso. She followed me on the way home. Mma Fofescu, she said, you have such a nice ring. I looked at the ring myself and had to agree: for me it was the most beautiful in the world, on that day.
Mma Fofescu, she said again, you must be very happy that you have this ring now. And you also have your husband that you going to marry, she added, with shared respect.
Is he a nice man? she asked further, as in the local Batswana good manners, one can not immediately jump to what one wants to speak about. How to do online dating and find me a husband, that is.

Fofetso was a resourceful learner and started online dating and looking where to find happiness right away the next day.. She quickly learnt how to show her pretty face in the profile on the online dating site I've introduced her to. She knew immediately how to highlight the best sides of her personality, which were real and nice. Soon enough, men from all the corners of Southern Africa and Botswana wanted to come from far away to meet up with her and maybe more.
She used to complain that it was all very tiring, all them to remember, the many threads of communication to so many men. I just want to find love, Mma Fefescu, she used to say between her mails that we discussed in closed sessions. It's quite difficult, to write to them all -- but how do I find happiness if I am not making the effort? she used to conclude wisely and went on with online dating.
I stood by Fofetso all along with advice and encouragements. I said, let them all come from wherever they live and let's have a good look at them all.
One can not judge men from a distance..
Not even from close up - we both agreed on this, but kept up in good spirits nevertheless.

Ag, Mma Fofescu, she used to say, I only want to meet a nice man on this online dating, to be married and settle down to get happy in life and make him happy too.

Well, by the end Fofetso got engaged to be married too and even more than once as it was not the first time that she got it right. But what is life if not a constant experience by trial? She got married three times from the very same online dating site but only the last one proved to be THE one.
She is still living happily now, married of course and she still respects me as her elder guru on issues about how to find happiness.
The other ladies from the school got also married and had their own weddings, beautiful traditional African weddings with their whole family involved and lots of guests eating seswaa -- some of them through the same site, some of them by God's grace, just by conventional and traditional dating methods. I have high hopes that they all know by now how to be happy in life.

Although glad that I have sorted them all, I am sorry sometimes that there is no one left unmarried among my friends. There is no one I could teach how to be married online.

Except maybe the little girls in Botswana, provided I have patience until they grow.
