Exacta bets: In this type of exotic horse racing bet, you choose the two horses that you think will win and place in the race in corrcect order. So let's say you pick horses 3 and 8. To win this wager your number 3 horse must come in first and your number 8 horse must come in second. To increase the odds of winning an exacta bet in horse racing, you can box the exacta. This means you can wager on horses 3 and 8 to come in any order, first or second.
