Send a Great Care Package to your College Student
Make sure that your college kids are always glad to see that care package come in the mail. Take good care of them by sending them something they'll love, using these tips.

Remember!
Everything you send must be able to survive extreme weathers. It is going through the mail!
College Students LOVE the food
Don't forget to pack in lots of food!
Cookies, chips, brownies, teenagers love food. Send non-perishable foods like cookies, chips, popcorn, nutrition bars, and more. Spoil them a little with some delicious foods, but avoid things like Easy Mac and Ramen noodles, which they've surely eaten a lot of already and are tired of. Don't forget to also send them some nutritious things as well though! Canned fruit and little containers of cereal work well. Here are a few things you can send:-Chips
-Cookies
-Microwaveable popcorn
-Nutrition bars
-Canned fruit
-Instant oatmeal
-Dried coffee
-Tea bags
-Other mixes (gatorade, juice, sauces, etc)
Don't forget that whatever you send must be able to survive in the mail! And also, your student will probably share with their friends, so be sure to pack extras!

For the Girls: Makeup
Send them makeup!
College life can be crazy and hectic, and sometimes we girls forget the little things. It's always nice to open up a care package and find some bright colorful eye shadow in there so we can feel prettier. Sending them makeup is a great addition to a care package.Remember though, whatever makeup you send has to be able to withstand being sent through the mail. You can send brushes, blush, lip gloss, mascara, eye liner, etc, etc. If it can last through extreme weathers, you can send it.

More Things to Send
Sometimes when making a care package, parents and family focus only on the food. Food is great of course, but don't forget about the other things to send as well! Here are a few great examples of what you can send...-Socks
-School supplies like pens, paper, highlighters, etc (those run out fast)
-Cleaning supplies for the dorm room/apartment
-Toiletries (shampoo, soap, TOOTHPASTE!)
And maybe send in some funny little toys or games that will remind them of home or make them nostalgic! Bubbles are fun, always.
Send them pictures of family!

For the big holidays like Halloween, send candy corn, little pumpkin candies or ghosts to hang up in the dorm room! Christmas time, don't forget little gifts, maybe some mistletoe, garland, cute little nativity sets, or for Hanukkah, a little menorah to light up the dorm.
For Easter, send some Peeps, and for St. Patrick's send some shamrocks!
Don't forget to wrap it up colorfully and nice!
Care Packages for this Halloween
Halloween is coming up for those who celebrate, so be sure to send your kids Halloween themed things! Little decorations for their room, a scary movie perhaps, maybe recipes for Halloween cupcakes or drinks. You can even send up a costume if they don't already have one!

Show them some love! College kids need support - they have lots of stress and are so busy studying/having fun they don't have time to take care of themselves properly.

- Great job! When my daughter went off to college there was a group there that made Halloween, Valentines and other care packages for you, you just signed up and paid. It was great and she said the packages were well received, fun stuff and food. So I reckon college students love care packages! These are all good pointers.
