How To Build A List

As a newbie marketer just starting out online there's one thing you should be focusing on from day one and that's how to build a list.

Have a mailing list is the one thing that will allow you to generate a flood of traffic on demand and cash on some occasions once you have mastered email marketing and relationship building.

The problem is there's just so much hype around on the internet today and it can be very frustrating for newbies, often leaving you with information overload which is the #1 course of failures online.

I have been working online for about 18 months now and just like most newbies I did not have a clue where to start or how to build a list. In fact it was a good 6 months before I even began building a list and boy was it a struggle.

There are so many different ways to build your list but most of them require a very long learning curve. And at the end of the day who wants to spend the next 2 to 3 years just list building. You want a list now right so you can get down to earning some money.

Well keep reading because I'm going to share my story with you about how I went from newbie marketer who took well over a year to build a tiny list of just 60 subscribers, probably less, and I'm pretty embarrassed to be admitting that, but it's OK, because shortly after that I went on to add over 2600 subscribers to my list in as little as 90 days, using a technique that so many marketers seem to overlook.

Now I'm not sure how long you have been internet marketing or at what level you are at, but have you ever heard of Joint Venture Giveaways?

A Joint Venture Giveaway is basically an event where marketers join together and offer free gifts to members in exchange for the persons name and email address. Giving you the opportunity to market to these people over and over again.

Now this is where is gets good because there are two sides to a giveaway event and the later one I am going to talk to you about in just a moment is the one that so many marketers overlook. It's also the one that has allowed me to build my list at a super fast speed and go on to have my very first $3000 week.

So, as I was saying. There are two sides to giveaway events. You can take part in thrid party events (events run by others) as a contributor, or you can host your own giveaway event. And that's when the magic happens :)

You see as a contributor you can expect to collect a handful of subscribers from each event you take part in, BUT as the host you get the details of EVERYONE that takes part in the event and in my experience that's usually between 350 and 1200 for each event that I have run.

And it gets even better because you also make money from the upgrades. My first event made around $348. Not a great deal but to say I had never made any money online before it wasn't bad for my first time round I'm sure you will agree. It can be so hard just earning that first $ online.

Apart from Facebook, hosting JV giveaways has made a huge difference to my online business and I had no prior experience, so there's no reason why you can't do the same. Seriously, it WORKS!

You will need to invest in the script (Ultimate JV Giveaway Script) that is used to run these list building events and that's the only downside to this if you are on a tight budget. But you can chose to go with the payment plan, so it can be done on a budget and you will make your investment back anyway once you have run one or two events. If you are struggling to build a list I would seriously consider running your own giveaway events becasue it flat out works. It doesn't matter if you are totally new or if you are an advanced marketer.
