Loved that you have included concise, easy to understand tips in this article. It is important that an individual is properly educated about using credit to their advantage and not to their financial demise and this is a good take off point for anybody who are starting or would like to start anew.

Correct... except for opening the credit card. Some people do not or should not open credit cards. One: if they have been irresponsible in the past this is a very poor choice... it may do more harm than good. Two: Only open a credit card account if you are going to use it... having a debt that you can pay off shows you have more buying power than someone who doesn't have a credit card... Therefore, open a credit card account only if you intend to use it responsibly.

You certainly make some good points with that. I absolutely would never condone that anyone open credit and have no intentions of being responsible or taking care of their obligations. This is more geared towards helping people that either have no prior credit history, or might have run into financial problems for several reasons.

I hope that anyone that is going through the trouble of repairing their credit or looking to build new credit obviously needs to do so responsibly. It's a time consuming process, but if taken seriously these steps will help anyone that is serious about getting their credit in a better position and open up new opportunities to them.

MrBurton thank you for the comment as again you've brought up some very good points.
