Step 2 - Yes, You Need Exercise

If you're looking for some magical miracle way to burn body fat fast, it doesn't exist. I am not going to lie to you and try to put you onto some drug or fad diet that is only going to make you less healthy. What you need is a lifestyle change. It's not difficult. Just take baby steps.

If you need inspiration look no further than here. A good friend of mine just moved back from after being away for 8 years. In those 8 years he put on 90 pounds of fat. All of us back home could barely recognize him and he knew it. In the past 8 months, he has since lost 75 pounds, has gone from arm flab to solid muscle and looks like an absolute brick wall. Here is your first step to your exercise. Find some sort of facility where you can work out comfortably. If you can't afford a gym membership or would rather avoid it until you feel better about yourself, go to Target and buy a Swiss ball. Make sure you get the right size for your body. Look on the box for a chart.

Now the real kicker here is that you need to USE what you have available to you. All too often people buy fitness equipment with good intentions, but they never make use of it. 80% of people who own gym memberships don't even use them. I can think of three people this very second who I know for a fact pay $30 a month for gym memberships and haven't been in the last 6 months.

What you need to do is establish and COMMIT TO an exercise schedule. You want to shoot for three times a week, 20 minute sessions. This is not a lot, but you will notice an incredible difference in your body in just a few weeks, I promise. By the way, make sure to drink plenty of water!

So you're exercising now right? Good. Now all you have to do is eat better. Don't think just because you're getting a good workout from time to time that it is ok to eat twinkies and cupcakes for dinner. Maintain a diet full of lean protein, fiber, unsaturated fats, and good vitamins to supercharge your fat loss. All of these foods will keep you feeling full without actually eating more.

Exercise will only take you so far. You may find it difficult at first to give up all of the junk that you like to eat, just because your body is chemically addicted to them. But it will pass in about two weeks. Just hang in there. Oh and... make sure to give yourself a reward once in a while for doing so great with your new lifestyle. Have a cheeseburger or a slice of pizza. Just don't take it too far.
