For the longest time I struggled with my weight. Being an all American athlete in my younger days made it extremely difficult for me to deal with. Once I moved on to other aspects of my life my bad eating habits caught up to me. It got to the point where I was very depressed with my weight situation. I knew I either had to fix the problem or continue living a miserable life in a fat body that I knew wasn't really me.

With my new found determination I went out and tried pretty much every fad weight loss diet on the market. They all worked for a few weeks, but less than a month later I gained it all back, plus some. I went from Atkins, to South Beach, to tuna and water, to the grapefruit diet, and everything in between. No matter what the diet was the results were always the same, and the fat me continued to haunt my everyday life.

This is when I stumbled upon Tom Venuto's "Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle", and it changed my life. One thing that immediately dawned on me was the misconception that the reason I was gaining weight as I grew older was simply due to my age. The truth is I had just stopped doing many of the things this book proves causes you to lose weight, and keep it off.
