How to Clean up Your Computer-A Review of 3 Trusted Products!

Ranked #26,629 in Computers & Electronics, #492,873 overall

Everyone knows how frustrating a slow computer can be...

The main idea is to not let it get you. There are several ways to get your computer back in top shape without a great deal of time, work, or money. Let's face it, computers are expensive! They need the latest version of Office or Windows' newest operating system or maybe they need a virus scanner. How many times have you wasted your time and money to buy something to clean up your computer and it not work? As a matter of fact, it probably slowed your computer down even more. Let me guess, you got a pop-up on your screen that said, "You have ___ infected files on your computer! Buy now to fix!" Never ever fall for these scams. In fact, I did fall for this and when I found an actual product that worked it removed the software as a malicious threat! I am by no means a salesman and I am not trying to build a product up, if I wasn't absolutely in love with it! I would like to introduce three computer repair programs that can save you valuable time and money. Although, I will say, I am very keen on the first one, ReImage PC Repair!

#1 ReImage PC Repair

You will absolutely love this little guy!

Wow! Imagine yourself in the desert looking for water. You have been out there for hours; sweat is consuming you and the sun is weakening you every minute. You keep getting little trickles of water from nearby plants, but nothing to quench your thirst. Then, you come out of the desert and stumble onto a fresh spring. What a magnificent feeling! This is the same feeling you get when you try ReImage PC Repair for the first time after you have gotten trickles out of other useless programs. It truly is light years above the others. I know this because I have tried it. In fact I had just gotten my computer back from the shop (where I spent $115 on a clean-up). I noticed that I still had issues with booting and stability. I have never come across a software that has actually checked my power consumption and gave me a recommendation on how to fix my weak power supply.

What else does it do?

-fixes missing or corrupted files on your computer
-shows you your hourly usage
-compares your hard drive space to the average computer owner
-compares your memory to the average computer owner
-gives you a hardware analysis
-checks your CPU temperature
-Tests your computer's crash stability
-finds and removes any malicious files or viruses

When I ran this program for the first time (this part is free), it didn't take two hours to run the scan. It had finished scanning my entire computer in less than 15 minutes and I have over 600 gigs of hard drive space! The best part about the whole program, in my opinion, is the summary at the end. With a bar graph as a visual aid, it tells you how your computer ranks up to ReImage's recommendation. Mine was a 57% out of 100%. After I went ahead and bought the product after the free scan, my computer ran like a champ. No more boot issues! I just listened to the recommendations and let it do its thing.

Do not take your computer to a repair gueek!

At least not until you try this program. If you don't like it (I'd be very surprised if you don't) then you can a get full refund within 60 days and then take it to the repair guy, who is going to keep it for over a week and charge you well over $100. This software is $65 and I am glad that I parted with 65 bucks to make sure that I will never need the repair shop again.

Please do yourself a huge favor if you are struggling to speed up your computer or if you have a virus. Click Here for more detailed information on ReImage PC Repair

#2 PC Repair Doctor

Not as good, but will do a couple of tricks

By now you all know how I feel about ReImage, but if you are looking to spend less, you can try PC Repair Doctor, which runs about $20. Just remember, you get what you pay for! This less intricate software will still do some basic cleaning of your computer, but I can tell you from experience, that it does not do as much as my #1 program.

What can it do?

-cleans your registry
-speeds up start-up
-boots faster
-fixes errors with your machine

I did try this program just for the sole purpose of reviewing it. I will say that it did scan my entire computer in about 2 minutes and it gave me a list of problems with my machine in order of high risk issues to low risk issues. (There were very little because I had run the ReImage PC Repair the week before) The only problem I had was when I wanted to buy the program from the actual demo software to fix my problems, it brought up a broken link. This shouldn't happen. I had to go to another website to buy it directly. Like I said it was an alright piece of software if you are looking to enhance your computer's speed by about 50%.

Again, this one also comes with a 60 day guarantee. So if you don't like it, you can return it. I only review products with 60 day guarantees because that tells me that they stand by their product. Never purchase a download if it does not have some kind of full refund (most are 60 days).

#3 DIY Computer Repair

Don't bother with buying software-Do It Yourself!

This program is for people that don't want to purchase a product, but would rather learn how to speed up their computer on their own. DIY Computer Repair is a downloadable e-Book, which means it is like a book with chapters and pages, but it is on your computer instead of being an actual physical book. You can buy this program for about $37. I have actually looked through this e-Book for my personal interest (I always want to beef up my PC). I play a lot of online games and my specialty is video editing. I film several events, mainly weddings, and I need top computer performance to edit the video with high quality. This e-Book is great at pointing out what anyone (literally anyone) can do to enhance their PC. Not only does it clean your computer, but it also tells you how to upgrade components of your PC to make it better, overall.

Can you do these things to your computer without this guide?

-Upgrade your components
-Upgrade to a Solid State Drive
-Optimize Performance
-Enhance the audio
-Enhance the cooling
-Install an Operating System
-Backup data the right way

You may not even know what half of those terms mean, but the great part about this e-Book is that it comes with its very own dictionary for all of the computer terms that it throws at you. It also tells you how to safely work on the inside of your computer so that you don't shock yourself or short something out. Since I am fond of reviews, I like that this program gives you a review of several hardware and software programs that are out there. It also gives you examples of free virus software to protect your computer. Also, you get a repair checklist to make sure that you don't miss any steps.

This information applies to laptops as well. In fact that there a few chapters in this program that are completely dedicated to laptops and laptop repair.

You guessed it; this has a 60 day guarantee. If you don't like it, get your money back.

Sounds too good to be true- Why is this #3?

It is a very good e-Book, however, I am a fan of letting software do the job for me as long as the software is good and doesn't bog down my computer as many of them do. Also, despite this e-Book's great information quality, there are not a great deal of photos. I'm a very visual learner and I go off of pictures more than reading blocks of text. It doesn't sound like much, but it was enough to drop this down to #3. It is still very much worth the money if you want to learn this stuff and never have to hire a gueek again!
