Maintaining our vinyl siding

For those who do not know, vinyl siding is an engineered product, which is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. It is used mostly to an alternative to traditional siding, like timber, aluminium and fibre cement siding for external siding. All the listed kinds of traditional siding require a lot of time, spent for cleaning and maintaining, while vinyl siding does not need too much care and it is easy to clean. All the vinyl cleaning services include general cleaning once a year and a few cleaning solutions, made up for the material.

Home-made:

London cleanersThere are many cleaning solutions being sold on the market for vinyl cleaning. You can choose the best one and the most expensive if price is the criteria of the quality to you. But why to do this when you can make your own cleaning solutions, that is as effective in cleaning as some commercial product?! Nowadays people and most cleaning companies rely on eco- friendly and natural cleaning, which can be done by home- made cleaning solutions or bio-natural products used by professional London cleaners mostly.
Here are a few cleaning solutions for vinyl siding:

Soap

cleaning servicesVinyl siding does not need special cleaners to get its fresh look back. It can be cleaned up with the good old soapy water and this will have the same effective results as if you cleaned it with some costly detergent. You can use dish- washing soap or mild laundry soap, diluted in warm water. Rinse off the siding with a hose and start to gently scrubbing with a soft cloth and the war, sudsy water and after then, rinse out.

Mould and Mildew

cleaning servicesA mild solution of bleach are the best for cleaning mould and mildew stains from vinyl siding. The mixture can be made with the following proportions: one part bleach to two parts water solution. Dampen a clean cloth with the mixture and wipe the vinyl clean and then use the garden hose to rinse out. Another cleaning detergent can be white vinegar, diluted in warm water in the same proportions as the diluted bleach. Bleach and white vinegar seem to be really simple, but enough effective in cleaning, so even cleaning London companies provide services, applied with bleach and some cleaners, similar to vinegar.

Tools

You cannot use all the cleaning solutions, if you do not use some tools, such as a soft clean cloth or a soft- bristled brush with a long handle. The use of a garden hose is really helpful when cleaning a vinyl siding. It can rinse all the solution and dirt of the material in no time.

Warning

Do not ever use organic solvents, liquid grease remover, nail polish remover or even undiluted bleach to clean vinyl siding. Be aware of the fact that chlorine bleach is toxic enough to be harmful for plants and animals, so you better use a non chlorine bleach.
