How to: Copy ipa files to iPad 2

How to Transfer Applications to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

You can jailbreak your Apple iPad, iPod touch and iPhone to unleash the true possible of your Apple device. The term Jailbreaking is not a secret anymore as it has been legalized by US government... that said, to install the paid apps, games on your device - you must install IPA files.

.IPA files are iPhone application files that are encrypted and is made accessible in the form of apps in the Apple Appstore. Even so, by jailbreaking you can even install the cracked IPA files; this means you can get paid apps and paid games from distinct sources, for totally free.

Installing iPA files
There are two ways to install an IPA file on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Firstly, you can download the cracked IPA files off the web; a quick Google search reveals internet websites and torrents that packs IPA files in .zip format.

Download IPA files and transfer them to your iDevice utilizing OpenSSH. This is an old technique and can be a slightly daunting task if you haven't used OpenSSH and WinSCP before. Even so, the second approach, which I highly recommend, has been around for a whilst. It entails installation of apps and games ipa file, directly from your device.

Go to Cydia, tap on Manage and add any one of the following:

http://cydia.iphonecake.com (after adding this, search for 'Appcake' on Cydia)
http://cydia.hackulo.us/ (after adding this, search for 'Installous' on Cydia)
Make certain to download the app - either appcake or installous app; depending on the repository url you've added. For example, if you've added http://cydia.iphonecake.com as the source, then search on Cydia for Appcake. Download the file and install it.

Once the app is installed, exit from Cydia and fire up the app. You can see the set of categories ranging from games to utilities, each of them have been cracked. As soon as the download completes, installation is an absolute breeze due to the fact of the auto install feature.

Note: You should be connected to Wi-Fi network in order to access Cydia, Appcake or Installous. These apps can be accessed from all the jailbroken Apple devices(iPhone 4, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 2G and Apple iPad).

How to install cracked apps on non-jailbreak iPad 2

copy ipa files iPad 2Installing cracked iOS applications onto a non-jailbroken iDevice is extremely easy to do. There are a few requirements, but the entire process is very simple and can be done very quickly.

Disclaimer: Please use cracked applications responsibly! If you like an app, then buy it. If you don't like it, then delete it. Some apps are a bit pricey, so it's usually best to try them before you actually buy them.

Install cracked apps.ipa format files to iPad 2 or other non-jailbreak devices, which requires the following cumbersome steps

As mentioned above, you do NOT need to be jailbroken to do this. I've been testing this on my non-jailbroken iPad 2, and it works beautifully.

Requirements
1. Snow Leopard - To do this, you're going to need a Mac, hackintosh, or virtual machine. As long as you have something that can run Snow Leopard, then you're good to go.
2. Xcode 3.2.6 - This method doesn't seem to work with Xcode 4, so you're going to need a version of Xcode (such as 3.2.6) that's compatible with iOS 4.2 and above.
3. Paid Developer Account - You're going to either need a paid developer account, or to have your iDevice's UDID registered with a paid developer as well as a provisioning profile that's made for your device. I'm not going to provide any support with this one.
Don't have a paid developer account? Check THIS out.

Tutorial
Steps 2-5 are just the initial steps that you have to take. Once you go through them once, you don't have to do them again. You can just follow step 1, and steps 6-15 after you do steps 2-5.

1. Copy a cracked .ipa file to your desktop.
2. Open Terminal.
3. Run: curl -O http://download.imodzone.net/ipagod/CrappStore.zip
4. Run: unzip -o CrappStore.zip -d "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/Library/Xcode/Project Templates/Application/"
5. Once you've entered those 2 commands, you can close Terminal, as won't need to run those steps ever again.
6. Rename your .ipa file to a .zip by adding .zip to the end of it.
7. Extract the files from the .zip by double-clicking on it.
8. Go into the "Payload" folder, and copy the name of the .app (click on it, press enter, then copy the name).
9. You can go ahead and delete the extracted folder, and rename your .zip back to a .ipa.
10. Open up Xcode.
11. Start a new project by choosing the new "Crappstore" template (under iOS>Applications in the left sidebar), and save the project to your desktop.
12. Go to Project>Edit Project Settings. Make sure you choose the "Base SDK" to be "iOS Latest". Also make sure you choose your provisioning profile under Code Signing>Code Signing Identity>Any iOS.
13. Drag your .ipa into your project folder.
14. Drag the .ipa that you just put into your project folder into Xcode (hopefully you know how to do this properly).
15. Click on "Build and Run".
Your cracked app will now be installed onto your non-jailbroken iDevice. You can check the progress of the installation (useful for large apps, such as Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD) by going to Window>Organizer, and click on your iDevice in the left sidebar.

One of the big problems for developers is people like Dolphin openly promoting the theft and use of stolen intellectual property. This person Dolphin is wrong in my opinion.

Downloading otherwise paid applications for free is a crime and it hurts developers.

Please folks, do not steal applications, If you cannot afford the ninety nine cents for an application, give up one double-calf-half-laugh-non-fat-double-cream latte.

You only make yourself look like a fool calling copyright infringement theft. Really, try to understand the difference between physical property and intellectual 'property'.

Downloading otherwise paid applications is not a crime in civilised countries. It's at most a civil matter.
