Creating Your Own Coupon Site Has NEVER Been This Easy!

So you want to start your own coupon site, huh? Well, this process can become so simple with the use of WordPress that anyone that takes the time to do it can do so without experience. This definitely comes in handy if you don't have any experience building websites on your own or you don't have the money to spend on hiring a professional. So in this lens I am going to show you how to build your own coupon site and have it up and running today!

Before we get started...

Take a look at these sites and tell me why you can't do the same.

There are tons of coupon sites out there that driving insane amounts of traffic because there are tons of people looking for that next deal that is going to allow them to keep a little money in their pocket. And do you blame them? Heck, this economy is so screwed with rising prices that it has become crucial to save every little bit that you can.

Check out these sites that have taken off, to get a good idea of the possibilities:

Coupons
www.coupons.com

Coupon Mom
www.couponmom.com

RedPlum
www.RedPlum.com

Coupon Cabin
www.couponcabin.com

There is no reason why you couldn't create your own version of one of these sites in just one day, or a matter of hours if you are really dedicated. So let's get started!

Purchase a Domain Name & Hosting

Trust me, it's worth the cost!

The first thing that you want to do in this process is purchase a domain name and a premium hosting plan for your new site. Now I would advise you to do a little shopping around because only you know how much you can afford to invest in this, but you shouldn't spend no more than about $10-$20 to get off to a good start.

Here are the resources I use...

GoDaddy is who I purchase all of my domains from (and I have well over 15). In my opinion, they have some of the best prices and if you catch their sales then you can really get a good deal. Now the best domains to purchase are the .com domain, but there are some cheaper options if you can't afford them. And keep in mind that when you purchase a domain it is for a period of 1 or 2 years so even paying regular price for your domains is worth it.

$7.49 .COM Domains w/Free InstantPage Site

SecureSignup is where I host all of my domains. When shopping for domains and hosting, you have to realize that purchasing both at the same location is not going to automatically give your the best deal. And I'm sure you won't find a hosting deal at GoDaddy like they have a SecureSignup. At this site, you can get started with a premium hosting account for just $3.99/month and the service is excellent. I have been using their services for almost 3 years now and everything has run smoothly from day 1.

Grab a premium hosting plan for cheap!

Installing WordPress on Your Domain

Don't scare yourself to death, it's not hard!

It is really not a hard process to install WordPress on your domain, but I know that some of you may need a little help with this process. Here are the basic steps that you need to follow in order to do this successfully...
  • 1Login to website's "cPanel"
  • 2Click on "Fantastico de Luxe"
  • 3Select "WordPress" and Install
Loading

Using the Classipress v3.1.3. Theme

Makes things so much easier!

You will absolutely love this WordPress theme because it makes creating your coupon site possible in just a matter of minutes. This theme actually has 3 different functions. It can function as a classifieds site, a job site, and a coupon site.

How to Make Money with Your Coupon Site

There's good money right at your fingertips!

Place AdSense Ads on Your Site. Now this is meant to be a residual money maker that will run in the background and gradually increase as you generate more traffic and of course more clicks. This is not going to be your main income sources, so it's good to just set it up and just leave it.

Sell Related Reports. Visitors will come to your site because they are interested in saving money on their favorite products. So why not create short reports that you can sell from your site showing your "already interested" visitors how to save money on other things like bills, insurance, groceries, tuition, etc. You can create short reports that are only 7-15 pages long and sell them for $10 each.

Promote Related Affiliate Products. If you don't want to create your own reports, you can always promote affiliate products that are related to the "saving money" niche. That way you don't have to spend any time creating products and you can start promoting right away.

Sell Physical Coupon Packs. By having your online coupon site, you are providing coupon codes that your visitors can shop with online. Well why not do what many are doing and sell physical coupon packs. What you can do is take the coupons that are found in the Sunday's newspaper cut them out and put them on your coupon site for sell. People will buy them, just like they do on eBay! Now if you need more coupons to sell you can go down to your local convenient store or anywhere that sells newspapers and ask for the old Sunday's newspaper. They will more than likely give them to you since they have to throw them away.

DON'T JUST ACCEPT THIS AS A HOBBY, TURN IT INTO A BUSINESS!

Have you ever tried creating your own coupon site before?

I'd love to hear about your experience!
