You Can Cure Shoulder Pain

To cure shoulder pain many doctors will just tell you to rest. If you insist that your painful shoulder is stopping you doing so many things in life including even sleeping then they might give you some drugs to dull the pain but do not bring about any lasting change.

The last option was to go an see a physiotherapist but i had no insurance and the cost of these guys was min blowing! None of these options were any good to me and my painfully sore shoulder as i was an active guy with an active job; I needed a solution i could use now without losing the money i needed to put food on the table for my family.

Luckily I found the answers i was looking for online and i can share some of the tips and tricks on not just how to cure shoulder pain, but more specifically how YOU can cure shoulder pain all by yourself!

Tips to Cure Shoulder Pain

If you have a painful and sore shoulder then the natural temptation for use and often the advice we are given is to just rest it. The problem with this is that we rest it so much it becomes stiff and when we feel a little bit better we start to use the shoulder more and then BAM ... we move in a way that it does not like and you have gone and injured it again. To cure shoulder pain you need to rest it somewhat but you also need to take some other actions.

  • Stretching - As much as you may think that stretching near your PAINFUL and SORE muscles must be a mad idea, if done right you can bring back the flexibility you may be losing by not exercising the muscle joint at all. You also give the whole complex joint structure of the shoulder region a loosening exercise increasing your range of motion. You must be careful though and do not overstretch or you may injure yourself.
  • Exercise - You do not need heavy weights for this but using some light weights you can do gentle shoulder and arm exercises that can strengthen your atrophied muscles and promote growth and restoration. It also helps you gain more stability between your sore shoulder and your good shoulder which helps you eventually not need to place too much weiht on one side of your body in fear of shoulder injury.
  • Hot/Cold Packs - By alternating the use of hold and cold packs on the pained shoulder in you can bring blood into the shoulder area which can stimulate the healing with a heat pack before exercise and stretching then use a cold pack afterward to reduce swelling and pain and allow the body to heal quicker too.

The Answer to Curing Shoulder Pain!

These are the main points to curing shoulder pain be it a muscular problem or a torn rotator cuff. However to master these things and understand exactly how my shoulder joints work I had help.

The help was an amazing guide by Joe Brent who was a shoulder pain sufferer just like you and me who managed to cure a persistent shoulder pain no doctor could cure without surgery and without shelling out his life savings every other week for a physiotherapist.

Joe instead learned what the physiotherapists would tell him to do and wrote a guide for other people in the same situation. This guide tells you how to apply a home based natural treatment to cure shoulder pain without resorting to drugs or surgery.

It cured me and now i can play tennis again and my boss let me out of the office again to do the job I love that involved more physical exertion than i could manage when i was injured. I highly recommend it!

    Hey James,

Joe Brent's book can tell you a lot more than i can here but my advice is to rest it a little longer applying a cold pack to it before you sleep and when it becomes painful to reduce swelling. Remember to gently exercise your shoulder though so it does not stiffen up too much but never push beyond the point of discomfort.

Most shoulder injuries do get better in a few days but the persistent once like I had may need further treatment.

If you can tell me a bit more on how it hurts and when it hurts i may be able to give more insight. I highly recommend downloading Shoulder Pain no More if you want instant access to all the information you need to get rid of that pain though.

As an aside if you are lifting weights there is a good little guide on how to get better posture which is essential for stopping injuries in the gym you can get here:
