How To Draw A Cartoon Groundhog

Draw a groundhog with this easy to follow step-by-step tutorial.
Throughout this tutorial will be using simple shapes so even the most novice artist will be able to achieve expert results. When following theses directions it is always better to begin your drawing with step one, then step two, and so on this will assure you that you get the desired effect from your completed drawing.
Remember the more you draw cartoons the better they will become. And the better they become the more you will enjoy cartooning!
How to Draw a Grounghog #1
Start with a large circle for your groundhog's head. At about one quarter of the way down from the top of your groundhog's head draw two small circles for his eyes. Below his eyes draw an upside down triangle with the top rounded for his nose. At the bottom point of his nose draw a straight line down to almost the bottom of his head. How to Draw a Grounghog #2
Draw a half circle for each your groundhogs ears. Under your groundhogs nose draw a semicircle on both sides of the line you extended downwards but end the semicircles before they are full semicircles. From the line you extended downwards now draw a horizontal line under it. Connect the horizontal line back up to the cheeks with a vertical line on either end of it. How to Draw a Grounghog #3
From the sides of your groundhogs head draw a curved downward line on either side for your groundhogs body. At the bottom of you groundhogs head draw in a couple simple hands or paws. How to Draw a Grounghog #4
Add some hair to the top of your groundhogs head, some eyebrows and whiskers. How to Draw a Grounghog #5
Put him in a hole and color. I didn't add a shadow to mine as I'm ready for winter to end.How did your groundhog turn out? Remember the most important part of drawing cartoons is to have fun!
