Draw a honeybee with this easy to follow step-by-step tutorial.

This tutorial will show you how to draw a cartoon honeybee. We will be using simple shapes so even the most novice artist will be able to achieve expert results. When following theses directions it is always better to began your drawing with step one, then step two, and so on this will assure you that you get the desired effect from your completed drawing.

How to Draw a Honeybee #1

Start with a large circle at the bottom left of your drawing area. This circle will be your bee's body. At about three quarters of the way through the body and a little higher draw another circle for your bee's head.

How to Draw a Honeybee #2

In the circle you drew for your bee's head draw a curved line for the bottom of your bee's eyes. Draw the line a little above center and slightly to the right. The line should start from the left going straight and curve downward. On the line you just made draw the top three quarters of ovals for the eyes. Above the eyes draw your bee's antennas. Make sure the antenna on the left starts on the face and the one on the left starts at the top of your bee's head. Near the bottom of your bee's head draw a curved line for his smile.

How to Draw a Honeybee #3

The wings for your bee are drawn like a letter "D" with rounded edges. Draw the one on the front at about one quarter of the way down from the top of your bee's body. The back wing is drawn in the same way only closer to the head.

How to Draw a Honeybee #4

Add some stripes and a stinger to your bee.

How to Draw a Honeybee #5

Color your honeybee with lots of yellow and black.
