Draw a cartoon angel with this easy to follow step-by-step tutorial.
This lesson will help you learn how to draw a cute cartoon angel! Angels are messengers of God in the Hebrew and Christian bibles. When most people think of angels they think of seraphim's or cherubim's the winged angels. Although they are rarely mentioned in scripture they are the most popular angels therefore that's what we will be learning how to draw.
We will be using simple shapes so even the most novice artist will be able to achieve expert results. When following these directions it is always better to begin your drawing with step one, then step two, and so on this will assure you that you get the desired effect from your completed drawing.

How to Draw an Angel #1
Start by drawing a triangle. Make sure to keep it light, as it will need to be erased later. Towards the top of the triangle draw a circle slightly off center for your angel's head. How to Draw an Angel #2
Draw a line for her arm staring under her head. It should start just left of the center of her head and curve around almost like a backwards "D". Draw it to extend horizontally ending past the center of her head. Above the line you just drew add an oval and the top of her sleeve angling slightly downward. How to Draw an Angel #3
At about 3/4 of the way down your angel's head and slightly to the right draw a small curved line for the mouthpiece of your angles horn. From either end of this line draw a line curving outwards. At the end of these lines add an oval. How to Draw an Angel #4
Draw a curved line for your angel's right shoulder it should start slightly higher than the left shoulder. Draw an oval for the opening in her sleeve and a curved line from the bottom of it meeting your light triangle. How to Draw an Angel #5
Go over your light triangle making it bow slightly outward. How to Draw an Angel #6
Draw simple hands around the horn. How to Draw an Angel #7
Add some hair by drawing a larger half circle around your angel's head and add her bangs by drawing a curved line about 1/4 of the way from the top of her head. How to Draw an Angel #8
Her wings are just curved lines almost like a cloud. Make sure when drawing your angels wings to try and keep them symmetrical. How to Draw an Angel #9
Add some simple facial features. Gently gently erase any construction lines. How to Draw an Angel #10
