We will be using simple shapes so even the most novice artist will be able to achieve expert results. When following theses directions it is always better to began your drawing with step one, then step two, and so on this will assure you that you get the desired effect from your completed drawing.

Remember the more you draw cartoons the better they will become. And the better they become the more you will enjoy cartooning!

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #1

Draw a circle for your giraffes head at the bottom of the circle make it come to a slight point. Below it draw a larger circle for the body. The circle for the body should be placed far enough away from the head to allow for a long neck.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #2

Draw a couple straight lines for the neck and make them curve out at the bottom into the body.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #3

Draw your giraffe's front legs. The legs should be a little longer than the neck and taper in towards the bottom.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #4

Make a couple knobby knees. At about the middle of the legs draw a couple small circles than erase all unnecessary lines. For the feet draw a couple half circles with rounded bottoms.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #5

At about one third of the way down your giraffe's head draw two circles for the eyes. Above the eyes and just touching the top of the head draw two smaller circles for the ossicones. At the bottom of these circles draw a couple small bowed lines.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #6

The ears are ovals that come to a point on both ends. Draw them on the outside of your giraffe's head below its ossicones. The nose is two ovals for the nostrils on about a 45-degree angle.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #7

The back legs of your giraffe should be only marginally visible and drawn slightly higher than the front legs. The tail is the only part of the giraffe that is not symmetrical.

How to Draw a Cartoon Giraffe #8

Color your giraffe. Real giraffes have cool geometric patters but for simplicity I used circles for mine.
