Gathering supplies

This lens was written by my daughter- a Kidoo! She loves to draw- especially horses. It is a great way to keep busy and express herself. When we are bored at a restaurant, I will pull out old receipts and a pen and let her draw away!

I have been drawing horses for several years now. They are my favorite thing to draw. I have made this lens to share my tips on drawing horses.

You will need a pencil, paper, sharpener, and eraser.

Step one

For your first step you are going to draw in the middle of your page a circle and a couple inches from that your going to draw a slanted
oval. These are the main body parts, the shoulder and hip/buttock.

A couple inches above the shoulder you're going to draw a little circle for the head and 2 inches to the left you're going to draw a little smaller circle for the nose.

Step two

Next, you are going to draw a line from the shoulder to the hip on the top and the bottom . Then, you are going to do the same on the head and nose. Then, you will connect the head and body with two lines for the neck.

Now you are going to draw the eyes ,nose, ears, mouth, and cheek. The cheek is easy, you just draw a half circle for the jaw. Then, you can erase the circles inside the body.

Step three

Now you can draw the mane and tail. You can make it the way you want to make it.

Then you are going to do the legs. You are going to use lines to pose the leg in the way you want to. At the knees, draw circles to shape the leg wideness.

Now you are going to shape the legs draw lines to the circle and then draw to the end of the line, and then draw the hoof .

Overall I enjoyed this book. I think it would have been a good bedtime story to read to the girls. The content is clean, the story is joyful, and young girls will enjoy reading about a girl whose dreams of owning a horse finally comes true. The message of this book is good too, that sometimes God gives you an answer to prayer even if you don't recognize it because you may be looking for the wrong things. Ellie prays for a champion horse, and she gets a backyard stray.
