This tutorial will show you how to draw a cartoon reindeer. We will be using simple shapes so even the most novice artist will be able to achieve expert results. When following theses directions it is always better to begin your drawing with step one, then step two, and so on this will assure you that you get the desired effect from your completed drawing.

The Reindeer driven by Santa Claus are the only known flying Reindeer in existence. It is believed they have been endowed with the power of flight by virtue of magic corn given to Kris Kringle by the Winter Warlock.

The legs are a couple straight lines angling away from the body.

For the hoofs draw a couple egg shapes laid on their sides with the small end pointing outwards.

The antlers get drawn just below the top of the head. They basically look like two sticks, add as many or as few points to them as you want. Just remember to add the same number of points to each side.
The ears are teardrop shapes put on a 45-degree angle they get drawn on either side of the head slightly above center. From the point of the ears draw a curved line back to the head ending at about the center of the ear.

The tail gets drawn just above where the neck meets the reindeer's body curve it upwards until it's about even with the bottom of your reindeer's head. Curve the other line back down to the body.
The hind legs and hoofs are drawn just like the front. Have them meet in the center of the body and draw the slightly shorter than the front legs.

How to Draw a Cartoon Reindeer #7

At the top center of the snout draw another smaller circle for your reindeer's nose.
The eyes are teardrop shapes much like the ears. Draw them with the point downwards at slightly more of an angle than the ears.

How to Draw a Cartoon Reindeer #8

Add a pupil and lashes to the eyes.
