How to draw Fall leaf with Inkscape

We can find so many beautiful leaves when it is Fall. Or we can draw them ourselves, try different colors and use them as fall decoration.

I'll show you how to draw fall leaves with Inkscape. Inkscape is open source vector graphics editor and can be downloaded for free.

Red leaf is picture by Pippy2011.

Here we can download Inkscape:

This is Inkscape

Line tool

On the left side we can find Toolbox and first we are going to use line tool, it looks like this.

We start to draw a leaf. We place points with line tool.

This is our leaf.

Edit tool

We add some curves with edit tool. We can find it on the left side and it looks like this.

To add curves we go to the part we want to edit, press it and drag it to the left or right.

We add petiole and veins.

Now we add some spots where color will be different.

Our leaf is colored.

For petiole and veins I used color #d02929 for stroke paint and #d62f2f for fill.
For whole leaf I used color #841515 for stroke paint and #be170d for fill.

For spots I used five different colors:
- color #9a5f24 for stroke paint and #a8652d for fill
- color #dc9224 for stroke paint and #e38332 for fill
- color #e4b423 for stroke paint and #e3ab32 for fill
- color #dac825 for stroke paint and #e3d132 for fill
- color #dee22a for stroke paint and #e3bf32 for fill.

Here we use Filters - Blurs - Noisy blur.

Here we use Filters - Textures - Inkblot for petiole and veins
and Filters - Textures - Ink paint for whole leaf and yellow spots.
