How to Earn 5 Squidoo Trophies Right Now!

Part of the charm with the Squidoo site is the achievement trophies that you can earn through various activities. Some of these are easy to earn while others are extremely difficult. Some are no longer available. There are now over 150 Squidoo trophies that are available, or that were available. You can earn a lot of Squidoo trophies with just a little effort. Your dedicated lensmaster, for example, earned over 40 trophies on Squidoo in less than a year.

While you don't have to be a Squidoo member, (or lensmaster), to enjoy the content on the site, you do have to join in order to publish lenses, earn points or trophies. When you contribute to the site, you can earn money. You may get a few cents at first but if you follow some guidelines and work at it, you may make a significant amount each month. Joining is free so why not sign up for an account right now.

Here's how you can earn 5 Squidoo trophies with just a little effort. You get one trophy just for signing up. You get another when you publish your first lens. You get another for your second lens. This is the main reason why people join Squidoo, to publish content on the Internet. There are even more trophies available when you create yet more lenses. You get another of the five trophies for answering quizzes and the last for commenting on other lenses.

The other trophies are given for very simple activities that anyone can do. In time, you can review the list of Squidoo trophies and find ones to earn. If you like commenting on lenses, there are a couple more trophies for that. Like most trophy categories, the first is easy but the next take a lot of effort. Not hard, but time consuming. When you do leave a lot of comments, you may find that people find you and give you comments as well. You can make a quest of this activity to give you maximum points and benefits from your efforts.

Sign Up for a Free Squidoo Account if you Haven't Done So Already

Squidoo Newbie TrophyEach brand new Squidoo user, (Squid), gets a "Newbie" trophy just for signing up. It's free and you can start earning money from your lenses. If you join via the links from this lens, you are following my affiliate link. After you join and make more than $15, I will get a $5 payment at no cost to you at all. Later on, you can have your contacts join and you'll get $5 payments of your own.

Squidoo operates with a multiple tier revenue sharing model and an affiliate revenue sharing model. The top 2000 Squidoo lenses are in Tier 1. This tier gets the largest portion of the Squidoo monthly revenue. If you publish great lenses, you could see your lens make it into this tier and get a large monthly payment. It's a lot of work, though. There are about 2 million lenses on Squidoo, many of which are quite excellent. Only the top 0.1% get top payout each month, about $27 as of July 2011.

The next 6000 or so lenses are in Tier 2. Each of them gets a smaller payout per month, close to $3. Less work to keep lenses in this tier but still quite significant.

The next 72,000 or so lenses are in Tier 3. They earn about 30 cents a month each.

The affiliate revenue share is a good goal to work towards. Each of your lenses can show products from Amazon, eBay and elsewhere that viewers might want to purchase. If they do, your lens will earn a portion of the sale proceeds. Many lensmasters make far more with this kind of revenue than they do from the tier payouts. Product review lenses tend to earn more affiliate revenue.

All money earned by lenses is paid on about the 15th of the second full month of activity. This means that a lens published on December 5 will be eligible for a payment no sooner than February 15. You'll need to be a little patient waiting for your payments.

Just open each of these lenses and give a short comment to each one. When you have left your 20th comment, you will receive your trophy right away. Of course, you have to already be a Squidoo member. If possible, read over the lens and leave a useful comment, something that shows that you studied the lens. A simple "Great lens about XYZ" is acceptible, though. Please note that this trophy was previously given for your 10th comment but Squidoo doubled the requirement. Keep at it twice as long and you'll get this fabulous trophy.

While you are viewing the lenses, consider "liking" them by pressing the thumb up button on the upper right of the lens. This also gives you points. When you have liked 25 lenses, you'll get another Squidoo trophy. It takes a little more time, (not much), so this trophy was not included in the goals for this lens. Try it on your own, though.

You'll also get some great information from these lenses and maybe even some inspirational ideas. Please note that these are all my own lenses. The reason is quite simple: many lensmasters insist on setting their comments to be approved. That means that you don't get the points right away for leaving a comment. In fact, you might never get points if the lensmaster ignores your comments. Since the following are all my own lenses, you get the points right away because comments on my lenses never require approval. If you would rather leave comments on other lenses, (not mine), that's OK too. You can't leave comments on your own lenses for points, however. You can do it, but you won't earn points or your trophy.

Publish 2 lenses Quick!

Get a trophy for each one!

Squidoo is mostly about content. From your dashboard, select the "Create a lens" button. Fill in the modules and publish. You'll get a trophy for each of your first 2 lenses. Later, as you publish more, you'll get trophies for 5, 25, 50, 75, 99 and 100 lenses. When you start creating content, you'll be able to publish quite a few lenses quickly. Concentrate and making them good ones, though.

Each lens will need an introduction photo before you can publish it.
