How To Exchange Foals, Calves And Other Rare Farmville Items

It would be nice if there were a way to send anything you want from Farmville neighbor to Farmville neighbor. However, since that's not possible, here's a list of the items you CAN trade with each other:

Farmville Cash Items with SEND - Any new Farmville Cash item that has the SEND button included can be sent to one of your Farmville Neighbors. This must be done when you purchase the item.

Promotional Codes - Some Farmville Gift Cards have a promotional code that you can use to obtain rare items. You can give these codes to anyone who has a Farmville account and they can only be used one time.

Items that you 'Share' - This is the category we're going to cover. Anytime you get a pop-up, prompting you to 'Share' and item, you can use the follow tips to 'Share' that item with one specific person, or a specified group of people, instead of sharing it with everyone on your list of neighbors. This only covers items - foals, calves, piglets, lambs, trees, bushels, mystery eggs, etc. You can not share events.

What To Look For:

Whenever you get one of the brown screens or one of the blue and white 'Share' pop-ups that asks you if you'd like to Share something with a friend, then you need to stop for a second and take a look. if you're like us here at Online GamePlay, you just keep on clicking until all of those pop-ups are gone again. But if you want to save a special item for one of your friends then you need to learn to hesitate over that 'Share' button - just for a second - until you see if it's something you want to share with EVERYONE on your neighbor list or something special you want to save for someone.

Read on and we'll show you just how easy it is!

The process is really very easy. Especially when you understand that you're not really sharing a physical item. All you're sharing is images and a code that gives permission to view those images. And all of that information is included in a link!

The next time you get one of those pop-ups asking if you'd like to share something with a friend - STOP. Do NOT click anything else.

• Now, In the first image you'll see the blue 'Sharing' pop-up with the image of a little lock circled in red. Click on the lock.


• Next you'll see a drop down menu with a number of selections - click on 'Customize'.


• Finally, from the next menu, click on 'Only Me.'


All of the information about the item you're about to share is included in a link. And generally, when you post that Share message on your wall, you're sharing that link with every one of your Farmville neighbors.

But, by choosing 'Only Me' you're only allowing that link to be posted on YOUR OWN Wall. No one else can see it - which means no one can click on it unless you give them the link.

Now, for the next step, I'm going to show you how to get that link, copy it, and pass it on to one of your Farmville friends or neighbors!

This next part is easy-peasy! Just a few more minutes and you'll be on your way!

Now that you've posted that message on your own wall - where no one else can see it - you need to go get a copy of the link so you can share it with your friend.

• Click on the word 'Profile' in the top right corner of your Facebook page. This will take you to your Wall.


• Find the 'Sharing' message that you just posted. It shouldn't be far from the top if you go to your Wall immediately after posting the message.


• Hover your cursor over the Blue text at the top of the message, indicated by the red arrow in the image.


• Now, right click and select 'Save Link Location'.


• Now that you have the link, go to your notepad or word processing file and right click again to paste that link somewhere so you don't lose it! It's valuable!

Now that you have that all-important link, it's up to you to decide what to do with it. But don't hang onto it too long. Some links expire after only a few hours, whether anyone claims the item or not. It would be a shame to waste a rare foal or calf just because you forgot to pass the link on to your neighbor!

When you're ready to send the link to your friend, just copy it again from your notepad and paste it into an email. Be careful about posting it on Facebook or Twitter or some other place where it might be seen by someone else. After going to all this trouble you want to make sure your friend actually receives their item!

Now that you know how easy it is to share individual items with individual people, you can probably think of dozens of ways to use this knowledge. We ran across a number of groups who had set up co-ops for trees, calves, foals, sheep or piglets. It works best with a small group of people, say 8 or 12 or so, so you can keep track of who has what.

You've probably noticed the same neighbors harvesting dozens of trees every day, and another group who all harvest foals, etc. Contact those people within your list of neighbors and set up individual co-ops so you can all concentrate your efforts on one group of items.

Some people harvest 20 or more foals each day. Others harvest a few dozen trees. Some harvest multiple calves or sheep. Consider putting all of your links into one list and sharing that list with the members of your co-op each day.

Now that you know how to generate that one special link, it's up to you to decide how to use it!
