many people hate forcing themselves to go to the gym everyday in order to get their hour of exercise everyday. The whole purpose of this page is to give advice about alternative methods of exercise that are both beneficial and fun. If you have any questions or comments about the ideas that I give you then feel free to add them below.

Get a Trampoline

This has got to be one of the easiest and most fun way to get your daily exercise. Honestly, I don't think I've ever met someone who didn't like to jump on a trampoline. You can get up on there and do tricks or just jump around. Whatever you do, you're still getting exercise from the constant jumping. You can also set them up almost anywhere. If you have a small one then you can just do it in the house but if you get a bigger one then you will need some more room outside to set it up; but it will be worth it.

Go for a walk

If you're looking to lose weight, then going for a simple walk is an easy and effective way to get in better shape. If you went on a 30 minute walk everyday just to get you heart rate up then you would start losing weight (with a proper diet). When you exercise to lose fat, it is important not to get you're heart rate up to high because then your body will begin to stop burning as much fast and work on increasing your endurance and muscle growth. If you are looking to lose fat, it is important to find your target heart rate and then stay within those limits while exercising.

Canoeing/ Kayaking

Canoeing is awesome

Canoeing and Kayaking trips are a lot of fun. By yourself and with people, canoeing a lake or river can be both peaceful and intense depending on where you decide to go. Kayaking some rapids is gives you such an adrenaline rush and at some times you have to kill yourself just to stay afloat but you don't even realize how much work it is taking because it's so exhilarating. If you're not into rapids and just want to cruise around for fun, canoeing lakes is a very relaxing and would probably be more enjoyable for a couple. You can take along a fishing pole to try and catch some fish and go swimming. In most areas there is always a body of water nearby that could be used and you can usually rent equipment if you don't want to buy your own. Another suggestion would be to take a guided rafting trip. There are guide's all over that you can pay to take you and your friends down a river through all sorts of rapids. These trips can be either single day trips or overnight camping trips.

Learn to Dance

This idea is aimed more towards women than men but learning to dance is a great way to get exercise while having fun. Most women have some sort of fascination with dancing and it usually takes a large deal of convincing to get their significant other to join in. However, the fact of the matter is that when you are dancing, you are continuously moving your body for extended periods of time and burning large amounts of calories. If you're someone who is addicted to Dancing With the Stars, then pickup up dancing as a hobby will be a great way for you to stay active and lose weight while having fun.

Join a Sports team

joining a sports team gives you the opportunity to exercise and be social at the same time. Sports are a common activity that has seemed to have lost their popularity. Fewer children are participating in organized sports which have been a natural way of getting exercise and becoming social with other students for years. There are all types of sports for everyone to participate in as well. Not everyone has to play football, basketball, or soccer. Just being active with a group will provide you with less time to spend chilling on the couch, so even joining a club will help you be more active and burn more calories. But, joining a sport would definitely give you the best bang for your buck exercise wise.

Using an exercise ball for a chair may look kind of dorky but is very good for you and has multiple benefits. One of the major benefits of an exercise ball is that it will help force you to use good posture and increase your balance. Also, causing you to readjust to maintain your balance, it will help you burn more calories than sitting in a conventional chair. Using an exercise ball also help work and strengthen your core to help give you a six pack that everyone wants. Above all else, using an exercise ball is more fun to sit on. Giving yourself a bouncy chair will be a unique and more helpful way of working through the day and also help you burn a few extra calories.

Go for a Hike

hiking is a very enjoyable hobby that allows you to get out into nature and still have fun while being active. Hiking with friends and even doing an overnight camping trip will help increase your overall activity and health. Putting yourself into an environment like this helps turn the annoyances of exercising by turning all of the daily chores into fun activities for everyone.

Get a Dog

One of the best ways to be more active as long as you don't have any pet allergies would be to get a dog. Owning a dog will help you naturally become more active by spending more time outdoors playing with your pet. taking them to dog parks or on a walk once a day will help you burn additional calories without the need to join a gym. Along with the added exercise, anyone who likes animals will enjoy owning a dog

    If you are getting a dog for exercise, don't get a pug! Mine makes me stay in bed longer and collapses after about two blocks on a walk. LOL Pole dancing, on the other hand, is great fun and exercise at the same time. :) Great lens... thanks!

    oh yea, i get what you're talking about with your pug. My sister has one and it sleeps just as much as her. Pugs also can't cool themselves down like other dogs so they get tired a lot faster. You have to be careful not to overwork them or they'll overheat.
