Learn How to Get Free Stuff Online from Eric

Hey there, I'm Eric, an experienced free stuff finder. I've been an active member in the free stuff community for the past few years and I've learned some cool tricks along the way to find quality freebies. In this lens I'm going to show you some of the things I do when looking for freebies. If you follow these tips you'll be able to get loads of free stuff online and by mail.

Where to look for freebies

The best place to start your search for free stuff is not a surprise. It's a little site you may have heard of called Google. I know, nothing new there. But the important thing is how you do your search. I break my freebie search into two phases: broad freebie search and individual freebie review.

For the broad search, I use keywords for the freebie I'm looking for, such as "deodorant sample", "dish soap coupon", "free magazine subscription", etc. This will bring up loads of results, so feel free to get specific. Next, I'll browse a few of my favorite free stuff sites and see if they've added any new freebies I'm interested in.

Once I have a list of a few freebies I want, it's time for the individual review. I'll do another Google search for the name of the freebie plus the word "review" at the end. This will usually bring up posts from freebie forums or other sites where other people will tell you about their experience with that particular freebie. I'll also read any blog comments I can find to make sure other people have good things to say about the free offer (after all, they SHOULD have positive things to say if someone is giving them a real freebie!).

Tips for Getting Free Stuff

When I sign up for freebies I always make sure to read the fine print. Most freebies are promotional in some way, and I like to avoid junk mail so I usually uncheck any boxes for joining their mailing lists. The fine print will also tell you if the automatically "opt-you-in" by signing up for the freebie. When this happens, I make sure to unsubscribe to the mailing list right away so I don't forget in the future.

Another trick is to use a free email account for your freebie hunting. This is a great way to avoid unwanted emails clogging up your personal email account. Both Gmail and Yahoo Mail are good choices, and they also have built in spam filters to help you out.

Don't want to give out your phone number either? No problem, just sign up for a free Google Voice account and use that number while hunting for free stuff. The number will forward calls to your cell phone if you want it to, but you also have the option of turning it off and on anytime you want.

Following these easy tips will help you keep your personal information safe while you get free stuff online. They only take a few minutes to setup, and will save you loads of time in the future.
