What is ActiveX

ActiveX is Microsoft technology used for developing reusable object oriented software components. It was developed by combining OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) and COM (the Component Object Model). Causes of Activex Problems

Although ActiveX can offer very nice and useful functionality to the end user, it can also be a cause for problems. These are often critical Windows errors caused by a corrupt registry entry. System registry gets damaged due to failed installations, incomplete un-installations, disabled drivers, bad programming, an incompatible operating environment or conflicts with other installed software etc.
