How to get 1000s twitter followers
Here is list with things which I personally do to get 1000s twitter followers:
I first post on my twitter profile some interesting tweets (that contain interesting, usefull tips, tricks and links). I also have filled out my 'bio' or 'description' field on my twitter profile.
On this link you can read research post that shows and proofs that twitter profiles that contain 'bio' will attract 8 times as many twitter followers as one without 'bio' field filled out: Can Having a Twitter Bio Get You 8 Times as Many Followers?
I also put on all my twitter profiles image which is red colored (instead of the default image; is much more noticeable then when it is in other colors). And all my twitter profiles are related to twitter. And all my twitter profiles have in their username word 'twt' and words like 'secret', 'secrets', 'tips', 'tricks' or so, because this will draw people's attention.

- I would also add using hash tags (#) when you tweet. It's also helpful to increase your targeted followers (people who are interested to your niche). If Tweet with a hashtag on a public account, anyone who does a search for that hashtag may find your Tweet and may also follow you.
