How to get more Digg Votes

The best way is to get your readers to Digg the content after reading it, if its good enough. The best way to nudge them in the right direction is to simply ask or put the buttons at the very end of the text/images so that they see it immediately after finished looking at it. Make sure that you have Social Bookmarking and Networking buttons all over your site and that they aren't too far away from your readers eyes. Addthis and Sharethis are great examples of how you can quickly and easily implement all of the major ones in a few lines of code.

Another way is for you to be an active member of the Digg community yourself. Try making new contacts by commenting yourself and Digging other peoples comments and stories. This way people may feel like they owe you or that your profile could be worth a look.... leading to them seeing your stories and you earning another Digg..... you get the picture.

You can however purchase Digg votes from companies. They offer incentives to people to Digg your story or whatever and leave a positive comment to try to get the ball rolling. It isn't cheap but as Iv found out it can pay itself off. Make sure that you have a decent story/new/game that could easily go viral before throwing money at it. Also make sure that your hosting can handle the massive spike in traffic if it does!

Iv personally gone with GetDigg.com and SEOshop.biz before and got similar results each time. Although the second time I used what I learnt from the first time to monetise it a bit better.
