Learn How To Get More Views On Youtube: Easy As 1-2-3

I don't want you to be left behind, because in the Fall of 2009 I actually figured out how to drive a lot traffic to my website by using YouTube. So before I go any further I want to bring to your attention just how big YouTube is. According to Wikipedia here is how YouTubes traffic is looking per day:

There are minimal stats on Youtube traffic but in July of 2006 this company actually release information that 100 million views were being view each and every day. Also, 50,000 videos were being added a day. However, in Jan of 2008 79 million users had obtained over 3 billion video views. Those numbers are astronomical, and guess what they are still growing!

In order to get more YouTube views you have to monetize your videos site correctly. Don't worry it is not rocket science, and you can do it with just a little bit of practice. So don't worry if you don't know the first thing about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) because I am going to teach you everything you need to know.

Your Title

If your are trying to rank your YouTube video for "employment jobs" you have to use those keywords in your title. It is a must that you use them in your title. However, a lot of video marketing gurus will tell you to use them twice but this can actually hurt your rankings and be detrimental to your videos ranking. It might even be flagged as SPAM. I would use you keyword just once and make it sound natural.

Another things I always do is have call for action in the title. Something that entices the view to actually click on your video. This is basic copywriting 101. For example, I would put something like "BREAKING NEW: Employment Jobs Are Booming". This catches their eye and will generate a lot of clicks onto your videos, which is where you want them.

Description

Good you have got them on your Youtube video! Another task you must complete is to monetize your Youtube video. Now put a link in the description. I always try to use my domain keywords in the description. For instance, your description would have this url in it "http://www.yourdomain.com/employment-jobs", then you would proceed to put your keywords as close to the url as you can without it sounding odd. Make your description short and to the point, with a call for action phrase in the description part.

Tags

Your tags are very important. You must put your keywords in the tags. Do not use them more than three times. What I mean is don't have employment jobs, find employment jobs, looking for employment jobs, ect. This will look like spam on Youtube and will be detrimental to your rankings on YouTube. Do not use more than 10 tags either or this might be flagged as spam, too.

File Name

You know a lot of people completely disregard naming their movie files, name it something with your keywords in it. Name you file employment-jobs.mov. Notice how I have dashes between my words. A common mistake is to use underscores. employment_jobs.mov is the incorrect way to name your files. Never do that!

Interact With Others

Believe it or not you have to be social if you want to get other people viewing your videos. You might find that you actually enjoy watching others videos. Take the time to leave them a comment. Not just "I like your video." Add some value and put some thought into what you say. Good comments will bring a lot of traffic to your YouTube videos. Also rate their video, too.

Add Friends

Along with commenting on other videos you must add friends that are similar to your video views. I believe the cutoff is 15 friends a day, so use them to your maximum capacity. It is a great way to make new friends too. You never know who you might meet and they could share you videos to all there friends on blogs, and social media sites.

Blog Commenting

Now you need to go outside of YouTube and go to Google. Type in "Google Blogs", click on the first query and key in different keywords that are related to your videos. You must read their blog and add some value. Not just I agree, nice post and leave your link. Now, I want you to find 5 or so interesting blogs a day. You will leave them a nice comment and put your url to your video under the website spot on their blog. Don't use your keywords or anything, just use your name. However, every 5th one leave a link to your video in the comment box.

Social Bookmarking

Now a great way to get your videos noticed is to go to different social bookmarking sites. There are millions of them so use Digg, Stumbleupon, Mister-Wong, ect. Try to only stick to 10 because to many of them could really look bad in the search engines. Use your keywords in your title and descriptions once each. Also, for each social bookmarking link make it a unique title and description.
