Taking on all of your creditors by yourself can be a daunting task.

There is an easy way to get rid of debt and it doesn't necessarily take forever and a day either. Credit card companies have always held the upper hand. In the first place when you charge and only pay the minimum balance you are most likely locked in for the next 40 years or so. Crazy. If you don't pay it can even affect your ability to get a job. Debt settlement is also an option but do be sure to ask if you are going to have to pay taxes on the amount forgiven. It is always in your best interest to ask plenty of questions. Is your negotiator some person sitting in a cube somewhere making $7 an hour? Do they have the skills necessary to get it taken care of? Are there any attorneys involved? You can be sure your credit card company has plenty of legal assistance.
